Masquerade  by Elendiari22 5 Review(s)

Well - that was very brave of Eowyn and Pippin! Or do I mean foolhardy? Considering what else has happened, some members of their team might see their actions as rather reckless!

And you can't leave it at Eowyn remaining silent for ever about the horrors she saw! That is reader-torture! She really needs to tell Faramir and Aragorn. And possibly seek counselling from Gandalf.

But I'm glad the ghosts have been freed to leave their place of imprisonment - and I hope those responsible for their pain have been sent somewhere rather less pleasant.

More, please. When you can.

Congratulations on things in your "Real Life". And, welcome back. TBC? Good. This would be a lovely ending, but there are so many little pieces to put together with the other characters. Arwen can finish her series of balls in peace and joy, now. Perhaps they can get Gandalf to talk a little about what he may have known about those events, at the time, although he had bigger things to be dealing with than just the troubles in the Steward's family. Perhaps a final word from the old Librarian would be nice. And, you have left yourself many little bits of starts for other, future stories. I am sure that there could be as many stories in the Citadel as there are secret rooms. Perhaps not all of them as dark as this one. Aragorn and Pippin both lived long lives, there would be other opportunities for them to be exchanging tales.
As for Eowyn marrying into a family with dark, crazy streaks, her own mother faded away from depression after her father was killed, remember. And, of course, there was Theoden's long, dark journey, aided and encouraged by Grima and Saruman, of course. Both of them have dark pasts. Both of them also had a lot of love in their lives, which gave them the strength to come through. And, they can help each other to stay in the Light from now on.

How lovely to see you've finally found time to update this, dear! It's wonderful--I really like that it is Eowyn and Pippin together putting a final end to the curse. The two of them started it together, long ago, when they found the secret room together, and it's only right and fair that they be the ones to do the deed.

And it was wonderful as well to see the poor shades of Alatariel, Illyria and Amroth freed from their glassy prisons.

Well, I'm hardly one to talk when it comes to long times between updates, so I can hardly fault you. And congrats on getting into the university! :)

Very clever of Pippin and Eowyn, using the sack to keep the pieces from going everywhere. And I really like how you're doing Eowyn in this part-- I'm sure it can't be easy for her either, seeing all the family insanity she's marrying into. Good thing Faramir's not like that. ;)

The TBC at the end surprised me, since it seemed a bit like a story ending. But I'm looking forward to the next part!

it has been months since I read this - one of my very first pieces of fanfiction. Even though it has been a while, ( & I don't have the greatest memory ) you have still managed to keep it amazingly clear & together.I was thrilled to see the note in my box that a new chapter had been written & read it immediately. This is the reason it is on my favorites list, regardless of how long real life has kept you from it..........
BTW, congrats on the acceptance to the university.^_^
