Lovely~ i really like the fact that Pippin such lovely images in the Palantir... I liked the line in which he inquired about Gandalf, Sam and Frodo though-- that definitely foreshadows that Frodo and Sam do not remain in Middle-earth to the end of their days... I love the Aragorn and PIppin interaction~ =) Thanks for pointing this out to me~ i've been meaning to read this for a while and glad that you gave me one more nudge to do so. :) ::hugsyou:: =) Author Reply: *hugs YOU* Thanks very much, dear - I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, especially the foreshadowing. I think between the Took sight shown in Pippin and Aragorn's own foresight, looking into the palantir together must have been an experience. Thanks for your lovely comments :)

Nice story. It fills a gap in the story which is the later use of the Palantir by Aragorn. There's just one practical thing that puzzles me. I never thought Palantiri showed things that did not happen yet (unlike Galadriel's mirror/Nenya). That would be too great an advantage for the kings of Gondor & Arnor on the battlefield (even though you mention the unaccuracy of the stones for things that are in the future). I think they would have predicted the fall of Osgiliath, Amon Sūl, Minas Morgul, and at least carried the stones away. Author Reply: Thank you!...I don't know if the palantiri only showed things that were happening at the moment, or in the future. Denethor knew a lot of what was happening, but did he ever see things in the immediate future? I'm not an expert on palantiri! ;) I meant for Pippin to see future events, so if that's wrong, then this story can be taken as an AU. You've given me something new to ponder! :)

This is very sweet. Aragorn was very wise to help Pippin deal with the lingering trauma of the palantir. You wrote Pippin's fear, hesitation and final determination very well. :) Author Reply: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it, and that you thought Pippin sounded right :)
