And you write poetry too!! Awesome. I loved it.

As you can see, I'm working my way thru your drabbles.

Lovely images, and worthy of the title of the collection.

A simple, 100 word poem, hypnotic as waves on the shore or swaying fronds of seaweed. The simple, repeated words - “before there was glass…” conveys the mysteries of natural science as interpreted by a imaginative, curious craftsman.

I was not familiar with the Silmarillion when I first came across this poem, but the exquisite use of language – deceptively simple – fascinated me. It’s very easy now to envision the craftsman at work, melding science and magic to create those fateful orbs.

You and Feanor certainly have "chemistry" in the making of this poem! Fascinating look at the process of artistic creation, Noldor-style, in a poem. Very well done!
