Hi, I have been searching the web on a whim to read Boromir lives stories. Although your story is so short, and thus unable to satisfy my craving, it is very agreeable. I like your use of language for his minds voice. I like your "twist", that he rejects the lure. The lack of later details, the subsequent quest allows for hope, without having an author struggle to keep everyone in character. I have considered this option myself, but I felt that it cannot make much difference to his fate. Afterall, he is still off in the woods on his own, and the two hobbits are still off in the woods on their own with some bad orcs nearby. Boromir would still go to their aid, and I find it unlikely that he would remain living. Thankyou. Regards, Gwyn

Oh, stunning! Brave Boromir, my heart goes out to him here. Wonderful job! Author Reply: Poor Boromir, I wish he had lived. Although it would have complicated things for Aragorn.

Nicely done! I don't think I've seen a fic where Boromir resisted the call of the Ring! I like short, pithy fics! You've obviously chosen each word carefully, and come up with maximum impact for minimum length. Typo: you're missing a "close quote" at the very end. Excellent work, and thanks for the read! (Poor Boromir. Makes me wish this *wasn't* AU) Author Reply: Thank you for reading and commenting! Typo duly noted and corrected. There was no way I could make this fit into a drabble, so I allowed it to be a little longer.
