| This was lovely! So good of Bilbo - just jump right in like that. The SBs aren’t the only ones who would balk at bringing sickness into the house. But Bilbo is a good relative, and he was well rewarded by the company of the little girls. :-) Looking forward to the next part! Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I've had a lot of fun getting acquainted with Bilbo. He keeps surprising me... Thanks! | |

| Ah ha! Yes, it would certainly be the answer to many problems... I enjoyed the little Took girls! :-) Thanks for writing! Author Reply: Thanks so much for taking time to review! Sorry about this belated reply. | |

| As I have much time to read at the moment, expect some more reviews! ;-) A very satisfying gap-filler: it is very probable that Lobelia badgered Bilbo like this, as is a continuation of her attraction to his spoons. All seem to be very much in character, and I really enjoyed this! Nienor Author Reply: Goodness, clicking into the reviews for this story I see that I meant to carry on, and then got distracted, for I haven't even answered the reviews for the last chapter. I have a lovely vision of Bilbo driving up to Brandy Hall and getting smacked by a snowball thrown by guess-who... Spoons, and other things. I have this mental picture of Lobelia, sitting at tea in the parlour at Bag End, and Bilbo nips out to fetch something or other and comes back to find her measuring and muttering about fitting her furniture in. Thanks! | |

| Oh, a new Lindelea story, out of this world as usual. ‘I didn’t say I don’t have an heir,’ Bilbo said, for an idea had been growing in his mind at the thought of Buckland. Frodo Baggins. He’s already a Baggins, as it were. How much trouble would it be...? Yay! My hero's coming on the scene! Love this story and can't wait to see those blue eyes again! Thanks Lindelea! Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for the next chapter! Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thanks for reading and taking the time to share your thoughts. I really appreciate it. | |

| Please don't stop there! At least let us have the scene where Bilbo meets Frodo! Am curious to how Bilbo thinks of the lad when they meet Author Reply: Well, the lad smacks Bilbo in the face with a snowball when they first come together. So there's that... Thanks! | |

| Good characterization. And Pip still to come! Author Reply: Thanks! I appreciate your encouragement. "And Pip still to come"... though not for at least a year, if I'm remembering the timeline right. | |

| Like the elaborate chapter titles. Run, Bilbo - Buckland should be safe for Yule at any rate - and suggest a longer term solution. Author Reply: Bilbo was probably thinking the same thing as you suggested. Sort of reminds me of "He that fights and runs away / Lives to fight another day..." Thanks! | |

| Uncle Bilbo is just gorgeous with the lasses. He must be unconsciously absorbing training to help him deal with certain lads. Author Reply: It was fun to write. My dh laughed aloud, reading of Nell and the sugar bowl. It seems she reminds him of Somebody. Thanks! | |

| And the spoons! Very familiar! Well done, Lindelea. Author Reply: Ah, yes, you *have* to use the pewter spoons and not the silver, when Lobelia visits. If you dare risk insulting her, that is. Wonder how you'd get around it. Apologise profusely and come up with some lame excuse like, umm, er, the silver's just being polished, Lobelia, but the serving lass got called away after she'd smeared it with all that nasty goop and she hasn't been back yet to buff it off... | |

| Ah, the familiar Lobelia we all know and love. Well-depicted. Author Reply: Thanks! I understand Lobelia was modelled after a real person, some umbrella-wielding lady. At least I remember a passage in JRRT's letters to that effect. Imagine! | |
