Ha! Take that, all you other non-hobbit soldiers! :-P

Author Reply: *grins* So glad you're enjoying these! Happy Thanksgiving to you.

I love all of these! The last is my favourite, but I appreciate the insight into Bormomir's character as well. There is so much controversy over him, and half the time I don't know what to think myself. He seems a wonderful individual (a bit proud, perhaps) until the Ring takes hold, and then...we all know. These little ficlets were very well thought out. God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Thank you. And I complete agree with "He seems a wonderful individual (a bit proud, perhaps) until the Ring takes hold." Poor Boromir...

Very good hands indeed!

Love the ficlets and the subjects and the way they are written. And I see HOW Pippin is resting, the little beggar!

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed these! Yes, that irrepressible Took will always come up with something unexpected.

Ah, each one is a gem, sparkling with life! I had actually only read the first before; the other two were new to me. Interesting view of the dream, indeed, and something that never occurred to me. And the last, ah, how nice, to end on a note of joy!

Author Reply: Ending in joy (or hope) is my favorite thing! Thanks for reading.

Those were all lovely! I liked the first one best. Frodo's innocence and such really shined through wonderfully.

The next one with Boromir and Gandalf was interesting. That there could be more than one answer to the dream Frodo had. Maybe there was more than one answer to other things! I had read a story, I can't remember where now, maybe it was one of yours! About maybe the whole "Halfling forth shall stand" and that it could have been Merry and the Witch-King or any of the others I just rememebr Merry's right now.

That Merry was the one who wanted the honor of guarding Frodo and Sam was splendid, he would do stubborn hobbit! Thank you for the little stories!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed these! Yes, I alluded to alternate meanings to other parts of Boromir's dream both in "Return to Rivendell" and "And the Halfing Forth Shall Stand". It's fun to try to see things in new ways.

Shirebound, these are quite marvelous! I know you from LJ; how have I missed these?

I particularly liked the one with Boromir and Gandalf, and the way a new twist is thrown at Gandalf in consideration of Frodo's dream...

And Pippin under the tree! That is too cute. He is always cute, cuddly, adorable. Thanks for sharing these!

Author Reply: And I know you, Haiku-mistress!

Thank you so much for reading.

So moving all of them. I would like to make a request. Some more Aragorn/Frodo interaction as he is waking? I know it is not movie or even book, but I feel something is missing. Even in the movie, there is no real dialogue.

Author Reply: I'll see what I can do! I tried my best with "In the Keeping of the King", but if any other ideas come to me, I'll be sure to share them.
