LOL! Another well written story, though I felt a lot less 'satisfied' with this one. I couldn't quite buy Diamond just up and leaving him out of the blue after what she went through to get him back, and I was left wondered at Pip - after all the adventures and incredible things you had him doing, that he'd not give more of an effort to keep her with him? Ah well. To each their own and it was a lovely, well written story. We have precious few of those.

Tom!! They seperated!?!? NOOOOOOooooooooo!!! I thought that with Di going to Minas Tirith and all, that.. well.... that's true love, isn't it!?!?!? Say it ain't so, Tom! :( A beautiful story, except for the ending. ::wink:: I laughed, I cried... ok I mostly cried. I really really enjoyed this. Thank you for a wonderful journey. :::giggle::: now just change the ending. :D j/k (sorta) :)

Tom: Like so many of my reviews of authors here at Arda, I start with: Wow. I love your depth of character in Diamond, and I love this battle of wills between Pippins oldest sister and his wife. you NAILED it. I can't wait to finish the rest! I do have a question for you tho': is Diamonds attitude about Pippin (in the beginning) of your making or is it 'canon'? It's hard to remember that these stories are FAN created, and so one time you see your Diamond, and then in other stories she's the doting wife...?? Thanks for this amazing trip! Author Reply: I think it's mostly mine, though the idea that the marriage doesn't go the way it should is something I share with a few other people like Baylor. I've just always looked at her name and where she comes from and her age and knew this was a political marriage, arranged without her legal consent since she wasn't yet of age.

Somehow, I think that now both of them are at peace with their lives. Faramir has enough of both of them to be a real interesting hobbit as he grows up. Just lovely and perfectly matching The Falcon's story-line. I am glad that you wrote this one.

Lovely ceremony but I loved Pippin's entrance all the more for the way he ignored it completely and greeted his friends. I could picture him and Merry and his look of surprise at seeing Diamond. Now, what will he say to her?

“I love Minas Tirith,” LOL Someone has been watching the EE cast commentary and found my favorite line. Billy says Minas Tirith and I love it! This was a wonderful chapter. Seems Diamond is getting used to the big folk and Faramir has a new friend. Just wonderful all around.

I enjoyed Diamond's talk with the Thain very much. I liked the fact the Paladin was so proud of his son and the way that he told Diamond that story of Pippin's return. I did like that he reminded her that she had driven Pippin away in part. I think it gave their talk a more realistic feel that he wouldn't just let everything go but was willing to accept that her feelings had changed and to support her ideas as well as Merry's.

I've been recommending your other tale among my associates and was delighted to see this one posted. You write meaty, entertaining works that never drag into maudlin introspection and dull over exposition. BRAVO! Your work is exceptionally readable. Thank you for sharing it with us. Ariel

I have no desire to meet Pearl Took in a fight of any sort. Diamond certainly has nerve enough to stand up to that one. I can believe that she did all the rumors might say and more, but I believe her unreturned love for Frodo set the stage for it all. I am relieved that she and Diamond now have an understanding of sorts. While Pippin is on his adventure, it seems Diamond is fighting a battle of her own. This is wonderful.

Loved Merry in this chapter. His words about Pippin sneaking into Diamond's heart dispite her best efforts. I am glad he was able to give her the full story of Pippin's part in the quest as well as a bit of his own.
