YOu never told me you wrote this gap-filler too! :D hehe..so i guess mine seem to be like yours right? ;)
I really liked this~ there's a lot of Pippin in here so that's always good. :D I love these fics so much.
Very nicely done~ :)

Author Reply: Well, mine is movie-verse and yours is book-verse. I wrote this for a Marigold's Challenge and also because I was just dissatisfied by how short the scene is in the movie. I wanted to see more Merry h/c and more of Pippin helping him along as he does in the book.

If you ever do decide to read my Cormallen fic and it's sequel, "The Stars Will Light Your Way" has Pippin h/c, of course, and also some Merry h/c. "Upon the Wings of an Eagle" has Frodo h/c but focuses of Pippin and Merry's POV as they try to help their cousin (I think I told you this at our moot yesterday, but I'm not sure, lol!).

Anyway, thank you for reading and commenting here! I'm so glad you enjoyed this :)

great vignette on details we never get. I was so proud of Pippin, struggling to be strong for his older cousin. And it was perfect that Merry first asks after Eowyn, after spending so much time with her. Nice gap filler.

Author Reply: Thank you, Monica! I thought it would make sense that Merry would ask for Eowyn,, especially as he had no way of knowing if Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli ever arrived at Minas Tirith, or that Pippin would have any information on Frodo and Sam. I'm so glad you liked it - thanks! :)

Ooo, nice missing scene. I'd wondered how Pip managed to take care of Merry. I recommend you continue: you've alluded to a number of other events here, I'd love to see Pippin reacting to Eowyn's healing, and Faramir NOT dying (since Pip seems to think that's inevitable), and all the post-battle action the movie left out.
Cheers!

Author Reply: I did consider, in my first draft, writing about some of the things you mentioned. Maybe (hopefully!) I will eventually :)

Thank you for reading and commenting! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)

I read this over lj, but I'm glad that I have a chance to comment on it here! I really loved this story--I for one was very disapointed when the scene in the movie was so short, and your story really does a good job of filling in the gap! Five stars *****!

Author Reply: Thanks for taking the time out to comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed this - I agree, the scene in the movie was way too short. I'm happy you like my version of what happened :)
