I very much enjoyed this story, I did not read 'What Comfort You May Find' before reading this, I was not lost, I think this story stands very well on its own...you travel along with her trying to figure out what is wrong with her (If anything) but once the story comes to her reaching her Majority It becomes clear that she was a reborn elleth. Thank you for sharing this story with us, Wonderful job! Creashuns

Very nicely done on a hard topic for most people. I enjoy your portrayal of the struggles of the 'rehoused' one to recover her past life. Tolkien left some things for us to wonder about with elven reincarnation--like what happens to the original parents' relationship with their child? I think the way you dealt with that here--taking the route that the original parents and the second are the same--is both more and less difficult. It would be more hard because how would they know what to say and when, as you pointed out. It would be easier because at least once the past life was recovered, you wouldn't have two sets of parents to worry about. But I particularly like how you handled her emerging memories. That seemed very realistic to me. And Celebrian's help was very sweet. Good job.

Very sad and also sweet, if it exists! The poor elleth! People should be told of thing that concern their lives and Valilis was suffering I see. Good job! I hope she find those she loves soon.

The whole rebirth thing is really rather bizarre as you think about it, isn't it? I hope Valilis's memory returns before Legolas arrives - even if she is, in some ways, hundreds of years younger than he is. And as for the reunion with Thranduil . . . perhaps we should hope that he waits a while longer before sailing. We wouldn't want him cradle-snatching!
