Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing, Antane. :) I can't imagine the struggle that Frodo went through during his entire journey and then again at that final moment. There is just no way to triumph over something as evil as the Ring. No one's will is strong enough for that and I hope I made that clear with the last line of the drabble. | Nice turn of phrase: the strange beauty of a thing built for war It is amazing how much can be said in 100 words. Author Reply: I thought it's so ironic how armor and weapons and such can all be so beautifully crafted, yet they are indeed things made to kill others. I tried to capture the irony in this piece. Drabbles are really amazing...you don't need a long story to capture the heart and soul of a certain scene. I've tried to get it so my drabbles are exactly 100 words, but that never works. I always go over--there is still so much to say, sometimes. And I should stop leaving replies so long. Thanks for reading and reviewing!! | |

It's hard to imagine what Frodo's going through if you don't understand what's happening to him. Sam doesn't understand the corruption of the desire of the Ring.
