Hey there, I'm happy you like following my progress. And I enjoy reading the story just as much!
I like this chapter a lot, nice and light hearted. You portray Eldarion very well{The energy of the very young. I have a four year old myself and I've discovered just how much energy they have} and I really like how you portray Arwen. You do a good job on her.

The bit about the nap was great.

See you next chapter

Eldarion is an engaging child, with the endless questions of the young, too! lol I appreciated Arwen's reason for needing to get away from the city - it must have taken some major adjusting for an elf to get used to living in a city of stone. I also liked the way she is pushing for Legolas to spend more time with Aragorn, and how she realizes even if the hard-headed males around her don't, that distance from each other is the WORST thing they could do right now. They need each other! Silly males! :-/ And of course, Legolas tries to distract her by asking if Eldarion needs a nap! LOL The shadows watching and waiting there at the end made me shiver the first, second, AND third time I read that line! Wonderful stuff, Legolass!

Oh I am so glad you enjoyed this chapter, Linda. I sometimes go over the whole story and ask myself which chapter I am most pleased with, and I find that each chapter has something to contribute to the story. This one with Eldarion tickles me too, and I find myself smiling at the child. :-)

Thank you for your kind words. I hope to hear more from you when you have the time, and I am really glad my story entertains you.

"“Eldarion is not the only one who chafes within the confines of the palace, Legolas,” she said in a huff, and her next words came in a rush as her voice rose." How hard it must have been to go from the beautiful lush valley of Rivendell to a stone city. You can understand her desire to get away like that.

LOL about Legolas thinking Eldarion would still need a nap -- of course time would be perceived differently for him than for a mortal child.

Yes - hahaha! - again, this was just a brainwave I had! I never planned for him to say something like that - it just came. Oh I just LOVE trying to get under Legolas' skin, so to speak, and to see how he thinks and feels. I just love that elf.
