Fortunately I think Inglor has the muscles to get through any trap door Haleth is holding closed. They could really do with being in the same place - so many groups are gathering and theirs is very small. Just the two of them really. And prospects don't look good. Or they wouldn't if Haleth and Inglor weren't both more than they seem. Fingers get crossed they get out of this one!

Author Reply: Thank-you, Bodkin

They're the smallest group (except for the dragon, if you're counting numerically rather than by sheer individual volume) But they have the palantir. For now.

Thanks again.

I always like Haleth's practical dry approach to all situations, which makes it all doubly comical. This bit made me laugh: She experienced a twinge of professional regret as she closed the door on several minor treasures It is a nice touch to remind us about her professional skills which are part of her character. Good one!

And of course you made me wonder now about the Dragon, Haleth and INglor's adventures...

So we have dwarves and a dragon attacking the towerr... is it too much to hope that a certain aprty of saddle-sore dunedain are about to arrive?

And I hope that Inglor will not hurt Haleth with his enthusiastic pushing...or he will never recover from the guilt.. ;-) Loving it.

I guess I'm going to have to come up with a story of Inglor, Haleth and Lithul. It's been in the planning stage for years.

Yes, the saddle-sore Dunedain will be arriving. Poor men riding most of the way across Wilderland. They seem to be following in the fine Tolkien tradition of arriving too late.

Thanks for the review!

was i glad to see the update info in my email tonight!!! I was beginning to wonder - forgive me doubting you. You never fail to send us on a wild goose chase & we enjoy every minute of it. I can't wait to see our two favorites get back together after a bit of a harrowing time........( I'll try to be a bit more patient this time...)

Author Reply: Thank-you, vampfan 30. I'm sorry for the long delay between chapters. I got very badly sidetracked.

I'll really try to be more promt with the updates. There are only three or four of them left.

Thanks again.

I can just see it poor Inglor pushing up and Haleth jumping down on the trapdoor, what a duo! LOL I read this story elswhere and I like the way you are rewriting it,it has so much more to it anyway Ill be waiting to see what happens next in their wonderful adventures!

Author Reply: Thank-you, Elfingimp. As always, Inglor and Haleth are having a communication problem.

Pitfalls of the Palantir is an older story. There were originally quite a few stylistic mistakes in it. It's taken a bit of time away from it and more experience writing to see which sections are weak and know how to improve them.

This is almost the end. The plan is to finish posting it before the New Year.

Thanks for reviewing.
