This story is truly fasinating. I have always wondered at Aragorn battle with the palantir and your strory sets it out belivibly and is very well written. I think chapter 2 was my favourite, where his brothers find out just what he did! I loved the family concern in the chapter.

Oh my Goodness...Nell, you are a DAMN good writer! You have this perfect way of weaving words together to form such vivid images...I was blown away by the first chapter, and the others are just as good! It's stories such as yours that I enjoy more than reading the books. You, and others authors like you have this incredible way of fleshing out the characters and some of the scenes in a way that Tolkien never did. You give such depth to everything. Again...wow. And please update soon. I'll definately keep my eye for more of your stories!

ff.net wasnt allowing me in just yet, so I thought I'd review here before.:) I like this, and I've said it a million times already, I think. You've taken a situation that is already meshed in canon, and drawn it out into a believable, strongly-written story. I envy you. Want to do that myself one day. The linking parts were a good addition, and I loved Aragorn's bit at the end. Very confident, and yet the right amount of hesitancy and uncertainty. Definitely want to see another encounter with Elladan now - am I right in assuming that Elrohir will be forced to play mediator? :) Looking forward to the next update, and again....I'm so, so sorry that I wasnt able to beta this properly. I am enjoying your story and hope to see more of it soon. This is an interesting gap in the story, and it's a pleasure to see it explored so well. Thanks for an enjoyable read!
