I've just read the last two chapters. I had wondered where this story was leading. The way you ended it, with Legolas weaving sort of a spell with is song and with all the others joining in, seemed to me not only a wonderful conclusion but a lovely way to make your point. I *think* the point is that in spite of their differences and inevitable conflicts, that group was bound together by multiple ties of friendship, kinship or love. Also, it was a magical way to finish the celebration. Very nice. ~TF

I really enjoyed your description of Ithilien. It felt like a young, bright wood dominated by new growth. Your Thranduil has a nice balance between the impressive weight of his years and wisdom with his lighthearted side and the love he shows Legolas. I thought it was interesting that you had the two of them almost identical physically, but different in the look of their eyes. Very nice. ~TF Author Reply: I imagined that Ithilien, at least the part where the Elves have returned to, would likely be renewed in growth and in spirit and I am pleased you gained that impression. I realise that there is some uncertainty regarding Legolas's hair colour, so identical physical appearance is perhaps not canon, but then neither is this fanfiction tale! I like to portray Thranduil to be at least as adorable as his son and quite possibly more so, in my opinion. Thank you for taking the time to review and I am glad you enjoyed the story. jenolas
