Fan,

Af all the fanfic stories I've read (and I've read some), yours it's undoubtedly one of the best in terms of writing style (you're truly an amazing writer) and definitely the best one in originality and richness of plot.

I have to admit that I love romances with our favorite elf, but grew tired of not finding something that really intrigued me as a reader and did not make me 'skip' over the text at one point or another of the story, just to get to the end.

In your story's cases, however, I've gone back a couple of times to enjoy the plot and to make sure the line hadn't been broken.

The characters are multi-dimensional. All of them (and you have many characters). And rich, and adorable, even the ones I don't particularly like (yes, I've got so involved that I 'like" some characters and 'despise' others because of my own perception of the good-guy/bad-guy),

Honestly, I could ramble on in this pitiful effort to pay you a compliment without really saying what I would like (that's why I admire writers so much). Instead, I'd like to ask you to keep writing and complete the series because it's a true pleasure to read your work.

Best of luck and blessings in all your endeavors.

Hey this is seriously one of the best 'Legomances' (heard this term for the first time..lol) I have read till date. A Legolas, especially if he is in a crossover fic (usually with Harry Potter) is just so drop dead perfect...that the story just dies for you as a reader...lol. Not so with this fic, I love the inrticately woven plotlines and the differing outlooks, attitudes and cultures and totally different way of living and restraint that the Avari have.

Rhinure...one of the best Avari and their Sacrifice. Tragedy's child (nice different word for a ruler btw) and one of the most inscrutable and seemingly unemotional Avari and the one who is best at keeping her emotions at check and with the best degree of restraint....

And you have a Legolas seducing her. Quite delicious and you can't help but be lured in by this basic premise! I have loved all their interactions....they're quite sensuous yet funny, adorable yet amusing. :D

Also, the look into the lives of the Avari and how you have done the background info on them is very interesting to read and with their restraint on their emotions in public and their nomadic nature and the fact that they're always escaping from one tragedy to the other, and all the rest of their own private vulnerabilities and strengths and memories....it's all very fascinating to read!

Also the Hindi...haha...I was pleasantly shocked when I realized the Avarian language was Hindi! Plenty of the Hindi one-liners reminded me of enough Bollywood masala flicks to keep me amused. Your Hindi is nice enough even though its somewhat different from the "Hindi-in-Englishscript" that we use.

But where are the Avari names from? They seem unlike any I have heard.

But please do continue the second cycle! I liked your description of L and R moving circles around each others.

To answer your question...I am a moroccan girl, but I live in Holland...So I live between 2 different culturs. Sometimes it is very difficult....just like the caracters in your story....

Damn! It's like a novel... Like I red a book from one hell of a writter! An amazing stroy! Not big at ALL, 'cause you made an impression of the whole idea. When I red this story I had an image in my head! That's why this story is one of my favourites!
The storyline is soo unpredicted, that's why it so exciting. You keep the reader non stop, reading your story in one day, or even let them leave their other responsiblities....(I can hear my mum now......oef not good...)
Anyways....( i hope my english is correct, heheh) i hope you finish this story! Update it very soon, 'cause I think many can't wait ( incl. ME) till they read the last chapter!

Love Samira

Author Reply: I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope you do not get into too much trouble with your mom. I know mine can get quite annoyed if I stay on the computer for too long.

I found the story quite unpredicatable as well - it kind of creeped up on me. Hope you enjoy the rest as much.

Can I ask - are you Pakistani/Indian/South Asian? Your name is South Asian if I am correct. If so I think you might be the one and only South Asian reading this - other than myself of course.

WOW! This is fantastic! I just read all 54 chapters and loved them.

You called the your obligitory (sp?) Legolas romance fic. Honey, this is a Legolas romance fic like no other I've ever read! I'm so glad you've already started the 2nd one! I'd hate to wait!

Author Reply: Well it was obligatory (I have no clue if this is the right spelling) romance since I have read so many Legomances that I firmly believe everyone had written one at one point. I just started my LOTR fanfic 'career' with one - which I was scared about, but I think it worked our. Don't you?

I hope you enjoy Moriquendi II as much. See you at the sequel I hope.

Thank you,

Fan

Author Reply: Thank you,

But I am sure the Tolkien foundation might. They make a LOT of money of the books and papers. Thank you for the vote of confidence and if you keep reading that is enough.

You are an amazing writer! I stumbled across your story and against my better judgement started reading. I couldn't stop. I've always been scared of Legomances, but yours is believable and so well written! You write Legolas the best I have ever read. The Avari are the perfect source of tension, and the story is great! It's good to know that not all fanfic writers are incompetent Mary-sue creators, you bring me hope. I can't wait for the sequel!

Author Reply: Trust me, I was scared and still am of writing a Legomance. It is such a quagmire, most people would not touch it with a ten-foot pole. But I decided that the challenge was enough to make it worthwhile. Then of course the Avari came alive and took over my life. ;)

The writers on this site are fantastic. Not incompetent at all. You should check out their stuff, though I am not sure if they write Legomances as a rule. There are some really nice ones though.

really good. im glad that their together again. Whats the name of the sequel? and i hope the sequel will come out soon!

Author Reply: I am hard at work on the sequel. For now I have named it "Moriquendi - the Eryn Lasgalen Cycle". If you can come up with something else I am willing to listen. It will be much appreciated. :)

Bravo Fan! I eagerly await the sequel... I think Cothion is going to be put in his place, at least I hope so and Rhinure is definitely onto something, why not both ways. While not knowing the other lends to false notions of who they are, becoming intimately aware of the other begins the decay of these assumptions as truth and relationships begin to dismantle our prejudices. In order to flourish the Avari need to relish, they are quendi after all, and Rhinure's Sacrifice will be this most momentuous task. What a wonderful gift she will bring them.

Author Reply: Oh don't worry - Cothion and the rest of the Avari are in for a long overdue lesson. Assumption will be shaken and broken. But it is a long, often painful process. Feel a little pity for the Avari, for learning and admiting you are wrong is not easy. Poor Rhinure who is caught in the middle.

Congratulations on finishing the story, Fan! It is quite an accomplishment. And, of course, you left us with a bit of a cliffhangar, for the political intrigue is just getting going. The wood elves know the locatin of Tirnen now, and things are heating up between the Avari clans.

The heat between Rhinure and Legolas was lovely. Their passion is spoken in volumes through thoughts and brief touches, and frankly its better than anything graphic. This is more romantic.

I look forward to the next cycle.

Author Reply: Thanks. Much of the credit goes to you. I don't know how I would have continued if it wasn't for you.

As for something which was graphic - I can't do it. My mind kept going blank even when I was writing this. If I tried to do something more detailed you would have to wait for a LONG time.

May the next cycle start (and finish) soon.
