| Beautifully done! I so wanted to see a final Pippin/Gandalf moment in the movie and was a bit let down when I didn't get it. Thank you for writing such a lovely one. This is another one of those stories of yours that I failed to wait for vacation to read. Obviously, I cannot resist your stories; patience my arse, I want another one! :-) Author Reply: Thanks, dear! I also wanted to see an expanded Grey Havens scene, especially ater hearing Billy Boyd talk about it on the cast commentary. Hopefully the footage hasn't been scrapped and will show up on an anniversary edition someday :) Until them, I'm thrilled that you like my version of events :) Have lots of fun on your vacation! | |

| That was beautiful :) Everything flowed together so well... the excerpt from Tolkien's letter, the lines from The Extended Edition of 'The Return of the King' and your own wonderful pieces. I remember on the cast commentary Billy Boyd commenting that there once was a 'special' goodbye between Pippin and Gandalf that got cut and as a result it seems as though the wizard doesn't say his farewells to the young Took. Ever since I listened to the EE commentary, I've wanted to write some sort of extended Pippin-Gandalf moment.
