Oh my, Anso! It's good to see another chapter up. Now that Merry is conscious again, perhaps he and your muse will return! I loved this chapter with all its details, from the beginning, with Pippin's tears falling on Merry's face, to all the concern about packing up to leave the campsite. I love that Merry thought of getting rid of the fish, and that Aragorn had already taken care of it; and Boromir carrying Merry to the boat--what a lovely image! I'm looking forward to Frodo's recovery. They are not so very far now from splitting up. *sigh* Poor Boromir. Author Reply: Thanks! Yes, poor Boromir. I haven`t decided if I`m going to have the story all the way to the breaking but the way things are going now it will be a very long one if I do, lol.

Merry would make a good Ranger, actually. In a hobbity way. He is very good at thinking all round a problem - like the fish. Who else, recovering from a nasty dose of poisoning would think to remove the body of the fish so that no other creature could be poisoned by it? Of course, I don't think he'd like the solitude that goes with the role. Or the lack of beer and partying. So maybe not. Glad they're recovering. Author Reply: Thanks! Yes I think he would be a great Ranger too. He`d be great at anything he set his mind to I believe. :)

Whew! I'm as relieved as Pippin and Aragorn that Merry and Frodo are on the mend. What an unexpected 'interlude' that was! "Merry watched as Aragorn surveyed their campsite for any telltale hints that anyone had been there" Very good! No matter what, Aragorn is always thinking like a Ranger. Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, Aragorn will always be a Ranger, won`t he? :)

Feverish Frodo . . . *blissful sigh* Lovely here, all the TLC you have both hobbits receiving, as well as the decisions that must be faced on how best to care for them. Can I be awful and say I'm hoping that Frodo's hand needs draining? Yes, I'm awful. :) Looking very forward to more! Author Reply: I`m glad you`re enjoying my first attempt at Frodo h/c! I usually just let Merry suffer all by himself, lol. :)

Such lovely tender care from Aragorn and the others. Poor Pippin--to see both Frodo *and* Merry struck down like that *has* to be utterly terrifying to the poor lad! It's a good thing Sam is able to comfort him. I'm glad I know they will be all right! Author Reply: Thank you! Yes it was a tough night for Pippin, but Aragorn does know what to do. :)

Yay for Strider! He's so calm and knowledgeable. And I like how Legolas assured Sam that watching Frodo was as important as watching the camp. Author Reply: Thanks! Watching and caring for Frodo is essential to the qeust so guarding the camp really comes second when the Ring-bearer is struck down. :)

Well, it looks as though everyone is in good hands. I'm glad they have Aragorn along with them. Getting injured out in the backwoods is a serious proposition, but they seem to be dealing with it calmly enough. Author Reply: Thank you!
