Oh this was so funny and entertaining, I loved it to pieces! Are all your fics linked in the same universe or are they stand alones? Author Reply: I have a couple of longer stories that include the same original characters, or vague references to something that happened in a shorter fic, but they are all meant to be stand alone works. I guess some aspects of the settings etc are the same, but perhaps that is because I generally try to keep close to book canon wherever possible.

Ah, this is charming, Jenolas. I particularly like the way Legolas tries to avoid all his admirers--goodness knows I'd be right in the thick of them if I were there. Poor Elf--so good looking and no place to hide. Nice emphasis of Elvish customs, and you did a good job making it clear that an Elf would NEVER make advances to a married woman. I recently read Tolkien's essay on Elvish customs (History of Middle-earth Vol. 10, Morgoth's Ring) and I really appreciated your understanding of his intentions. There is one small thing I found distracting. The repeated use of "elfish," "elfs," etc. This is grammatically correct, of course, and the spell checker likes it. But Tolkien always insisted on using "elves," "elvish." I'm used to seeing it that way, and the other throws me a little bit. Just a small item. This is a great story, and the friendship between Legolas and Arwen and Aragorn is well done. Thank you. Author Reply: The concept of elvish ( not elfish) morality is quite appealing, and often overlooked. as for Legolas...join the queue!
