*stares* Elrond. Has. Lived. For. At. Least. A. Thousand. Years. Without. Chocolate. Is it even possible? Love the fic. The dialogue seems to be in character, and chocolate grown and treasured only in Harad in Middle-earth seems right, too. I vote that you write a sequel depicting the hobbits' reaction to chocolate! Namarie! Loremaster Author Reply: I'm glad you think that they're in character, and I'd agree that it would be so bad to live thousands of years without chocolate. Imagine the cravings. *shudder*

mmmm... yay for chocolate in Middle-earth! nicely done story. I second the thoughts of the other reviewers: the Hobbits need to learn of this now! Author Reply: I'm going to try and write the hobbits, but there's an Elured and Elurin death bunny, that needs to be written first. *hearts chocolate*

Numenor. The source of many goodies. Does that mean that chocolate is a staple of the Blessed Realm? If so, it could account for why elves look forward to going there. Author Reply: Hehe, the Valar could bribe all the Elves with chocolate once a century or so. No wonder the Elves of M-e go there for healing.

Very cute idea. Wish I could come up with such things! Psssst---chocolate is an aphrodisiac, right?;) cheers Armariel~~~{~@ Author Reply: Noooooooo! Stop sending bunnies, they're nasty evil little things. ;-) I'm glad you liked it.

Mmmmm..... chocolate.... Nice idea for a story, and having it come from Harad makes perfect sense. Though I could see it causing problems later on if either Arwen or Eowyn were pregnant and having chocolate cravings and they were having trouble obtaining the beans... :D Author Reply: I wanted chocolate, so I made it appear regardless of whether it would actually be in M-e or not. Besides, they had potatoes. ;-) I'm going to end up writing multiple chocolate chapters, if people keep sending bunnies at me.

Oh thank goodness. I hate to think of any people living without chocolate. It is exactly in the same category as athelas. It's medicinal! Author Reply: Not having chocolate would be bad indeed, and so would not being able to have it for thousands of years!

They all carefully took a sip of the hot drink and after a few mouthfuls, Arwen said, “I think that trade with Harad has now become a necessity." What a 'sweet' story! It just begs for chapter 2, where the hobbits are introduced to chocolate. Author Reply: The hobbits might be coming soon, if I can prod something into existance.

Yummm, chocolate. I was just wondering the other day what would happen if the hobbits discovered chocolate in Minas Tirith. Will you perhaps write more? Author Reply: I'm think about writing the hobbits, but that would be way out of my comfort zone.

I like the idea of the younger generation learning about chocolate and the idea of it coming to Gondor again as a gift from Harad for Aragorn's wedding. Nice idea and nicely written. Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
