Poor Aragorn... :-P

I love the independent and "eccentric" down-to-earth King Elessar!

So, Pippin invented the coffee table? ;)

Great start to my day, I'm smiling happily now! :-) The table was hilarious!

Oh Gwynnyd, that was just wonderful! The story provoked many smiles and a loud laugh at the end -- thank you for such a wonderful start to the morning!

I liked the carved chair with stars and twigs best of all. And reprimand, of course. And, since I reread all your stories in chronological oder, it is such a soothing change from "Fever dreams" and other grave things.

I like it!!!! Poor Aragorn. He will never get used to people buzzing around him every step he takes...and those stiff scratchy collars!! I just about died laughting when He walked into his private study for breakfast! A very relaxed Aragorn and a more relaxed Eomer. I can picture them right now with their ale for breakfast. Wonderful scene. Have you ever thought of writing a novel?? I truly love your writing

Author Reply: blush... thank you. I think that he's Elessar about 95% of the time, but once in awhile he has to be just plain Strider again. Of course, the bits I enjoy writing about are the odd 5% when he's relaxed.

Novel... I'm a really slow writer, so I dunno... but thank you for the vote of confidence.

Great story. I love how you have written Aragorn and the rest of the characters. Aragorn is going to need all his ranger skills to get arround Hithdol and his proper clothing. Pippin and his cutting of the table legs was priceless, as was Aragorn wondering how many mares there actually were in the stables.

Author Reply: Thank you. I had a lot of fun thinking of up 'situations'.

Great story! I just wish it was longer. Aragorn is beautifully written, trying to salvage some peace and sanity amidst his sudden change of fortune from wandering chief of the Dunedain to King of Gondor, with smothering ceremonial trappings. I loved poor Aragorn's reaction to the scratchy embroidery and the ugly chair with tree and star carvings in uncomfortable places. And the ending is terrific, very appropriate and credible!

Author Reply: Thank you! This was a lot of fun to write. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

LOL! I'd say the city's inspections will be expanding & with a bit of royal attention at that.

How many months was it from this point that the hobbits returned to the North? Quite a while for these 3 to suffer through breakfast at that table :)

Author Reply: Pippin made it comfortable for himself as well as Aragorn. He probably started a trend and all the best houses had short tables within a month or so!

Glad you enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this Gwynnyd. I do hope there is more to come as I want to see how Aragorn and Faramir's relationship goes.

Author Reply: Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed. I have no plans for a sequel, but it's always a possibility.
