That's lovely! I enjoyed it very much. I like the verse that inspired it as well. Discribes Frodo perfectly.

Author Reply: Thank you, G.W.! Once I read that verse, it just wouldn't leave me alone. It may describe Frodo perfectly at *this* particular time in his life, but I love where you take him later on in your own universe. Thanks for reading!

A worthy inspiration, I must say.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner. :-)

Oh, this is painfully beautiful. I love old Rory's obvious concern and love for Frodo, and his consternation and frustration over what to do for the child to help him. Bilbo came at exactly the right moment.

Author Reply: Thank you, Dreamflower. :-) When I first read the verse I quoted by Anais Nin, I *knew* this had a certain hobbit's name written all over it, and I was inspired to write it for him.

I will have to pm you about Rory--its a good pm, lol, but much too long to post here--you know how much I love to chatter! As for Bilbo being on time...I belive Fate had his hand on Frodo's life from the very beginning. ;-)

Thank you for reading!
