The Tenth Walker  by Lindelea 4 Review(s)

Wouldn't it be something if horses and ponies were really that smart? Actually it might be scary. I love Bill.

Author Reply: It would certainly be something!

(I had a sneaking suspicion that Zoe, our previous Giant Schnauzer, had a higher IQ than her humans. She never lorded it over us, though. Sigh. We have bought push-buttons that will speak words if the current dog pushes them. I don't know what we're letting ourselves in for...)

I'm guessing you're still swamped at work, since it's been close to 3 months since you last updated this story. Sure hope you can get back to it one day soon!

Author Reply: I have been over-working and under-sleeping for months now, for sure. I left off halfway through the next chapter too long ago (in the middle of a snowball fight, actually, if you can believe it), and I keep hoping the Muse will come back and finish it enough to post it... Perhaps the sudden chilly weather will help.
*hugs*

ooh--like this strategy for hiding in plain sight! Aragorn and Boromir's exchange is both enlightening and heartening.

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Author Reply: Ah, yes. That line just jumped out at me in re-reading "The Council of Elrond", and I couldn't resist including it here.

Just finishing up a job (2 a.m., oy), so I will be sleeping in tomorrow. But I have the next chapter half-typed-in. Here's hoping I can get it finished and posted tomorrow.

And a blessed Mother's Day to you! Hope this finds you well. ((hugs)) and thanks for stopping to leave your thoughts.

Oh, well done. I noticed, in that movie scene, that Bill had disappeared! This is a wonderful gap filler.

Author Reply: Thank you! That was always a scratch I couldn't itch... Dana and I used to joke that Frodo jammed the Ring onto the tip of Bill's ear and made him disappear when the birds flew over.

((hugs)) Hope this finds you well.
