A Shire Sketchbook  by Baggins Babe 7 Review(s)
DreamflowerReviewed Chapter: 31 on 1/4/2008
Finally, I am getting to read some of the stories I have a backlog of!

Now, that was clever! I would never have thought of them as being twins, separated by the few hours between the old and new year! You are so sharp! But it makes sense!

And I love the way all were so surprised at the end--what a wonderful Yule for them all!

Author Reply: Glad you're catching up.

I suddenly thought that they could possibly be twins and once I did that the bunny would not let go of my ankle. A nice Yule surprise for all the family.

Lovely - I do like your AU-verse here with Frodo being the proud uncle of so many - he was in any case, but to actually watch them grow up... What a blessing. And twins now too!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I had to find a way round the birth years for Hamfast and Daisy, as given in the family trees, and this particular plotbunny bit me hard.

I enjoy writing this AU, just to give Frodo some fun for a change.

Twins, that's a Yule surprise indeed! As Rose said, it runs in the family.

Thank you very much for this little story!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Author Reply: Yes, twins do tend to turn up in the same family so it wasn't too unlikely. A huge surprise for the Gamgee children.
Merry Christmas!

A lovely pair of Yule surprises BB. And they don't even have to share a birthday! But I expect they might anyway.

Happy Christmas one and all!

Author Reply: I suspect they will have a double celebration on both days!
I had to get round the birth years in some way and once this bunny came along it gnawed at my ankle until I wrote the story.

Merry Christmas!

Oh, Rosie had twins? What a great Yule gift (and surprise for the children)! Luckily they have *three* adults in the house to take care of them.

And it was a wonderful Christmas gift for the readers, too.

Merry Christmas to you, my dear, and a Happy New Year!

Author Reply: Once this plotbunny grabbed my ankle I couldn't ignore it. Yes, it is a good thing that there's plenty in the house to look after them. A nice surprise for the family indeed.

Merry Christmas!

Twins, is it? Lovely Yule gift for the whole family!

Author Reply: I wanted to get round the birth years and was thinking they must have been born fairly close together, and then this idea came to me.

Very lovely (and loved) Yule presents, indeed! What a delight; I have a huge smile on my face.

*happy hobbity holiday hugs*
