I am reviewing this here since I happen to be... well... here. This was just beautiful, Tinnuial. I felt Legolas' sadness, and how painful it is that he can't really share this with Estel. The heart-to-heart with Elrond was just heartrending, it was so 'you'. And it was a nice touch - using this to explain why Legolas was chosen for the Quest. I, too, love taking book canon and weaving tales to fill in the blanks or to explain why certain choices were made. Nicely done again. Thank you. :-) | |

Another lovely chapter, Tinnuail. I love it that Legolas stays true to his elven character and gentleness. If you write this tale to the end of Aragorn's life, you're going to have me in tears as I was at the closing of This is My Path. *sniff* Are you going to? Could you send me an email to warn me first (in case you don't want to give away the rest of your story)? I already feel teary. As for whether I *mind* your pointing readers to Once Upon A Strongbow - are you kidding? :-) I would love for more and more people to read our stories - ANY of our stories - on a friendship that many of us consider so beautiful. | Hey Tinnuial, A lovely story here. I like seeing how all 4 "brothers" get on with each other. It's especially nice to read about their closeness in happy, peaceful times. I think that helps them to survive the war & tragedies about to come their way. Legolass' insight is great and I too was glad that he didn't kill the stag but I really loved how you had Estel, Elladan & Elrohir support him. Great friends really do last a life time. It cannot have been an easy moment for the immortal - to finally realise that whereas elves are born to live forever, mortals begin to die the moment they are born. A sad truth for all of us in the 'real world', and a sad one, too, for Legolas in our stories. You wrote Legolas' disquieting realisation well, Tinnuial. | Great story, I love Estel and the twins stories. I like that part about the tavern maid who took a fancy to Aragorn. And that Estel has grown to nearly the height of the twins.
