Hi Elliska! I have just spent a couple of very happy weekends reading all the Journey so far and loved it! This is a really ambitious piece of work you have undertaken and so fascinating to read your take on the biograpghy of Thranduil and Legolas. I have grown very fond of the OCs too - really liked Amgalur telling Thranduil he is a good father! And Tulus - oh, I have a theory that he is now well and truly sorted and loyal to Thranduil- he was indiscrete not a traitor and the way you portrayed the conversation between Thranduil and Tulus comnig to terms with his bitterness was really enthralling. I have hardly been able to put this down actually! I have a secret hope that eh is now actually spying for Thranduil since we never got the full story about what Thranduil said tot him in that conversation after he followed him to Dolwen's house- that proved his concern for Thranduil I think and should have acquitted him of any crimes (of course, the plot to kidnap Lindomiel was going a bit far and he realised that - tough for Thranduil to get over that one though) I like the way Tulus and Legoals have developed a relationship too. But I am disapppinted that Gliliaven has turned out so badly. Dolgailon is going to be really shocked when that comes out.

I feel sorry for little Maidhien- she is a great character, quite complex and not getting a very good deal from her parents. I can see that relationship between Galithil and her becomnig an intersting one. I like Galithil- he is good for Legolas - but I really like your Legolas- I can see him becoming the elf we read in Tolkien.

The world you have created is sustained so thoroughly that there are times I quite forget this is fanfic and keep checking Tolkien for references to some of these events / characters. I have really enjoyed catching up with this and am really looking forwards o much to the next installment- I had no trouble keeping up weith who everyone is by the way! Thank you for writing this

Author Reply: I am so glad you enjoyed it! And I so enjoyed reading your review. You have mentioned my favorite OCs in it and you are remarkably perceptive in all that you have said about them, as you will eventually see. And I am very pleased that you like Legolas. He is by far the most difficult to write.

I hope you continue to read and enjoy. :-) Thank you so much for reviewing!

Very useful list. Try as I might, there's always atleast one name that throws me off :)

Just a (hopefully) small request - Can you add the meanings of the names? Some I can decipher myself, but my elvish is not so good to do the rest, and the names sound like lovely, perfect Sindarin, so I'm sure each has an intriguing meaning. The name always offers an unexpected insight into the elf...

Hello El

Boy, are those elflings in for some serious trouble, especially Legolas. But I have to admit that it serves them right for sneaking off like that, I mean anything could've happened to them. I would like to see what a moonbow looks like (if one really exists). To be honest, I don't really know. I also wonder what cinnamon apples taste like, it sounds delicious (mouth starts watering). Believe it or not, I am still very much enjoying your series, I'm just wondering where Marti and her conniving friends are, probably still plotting against Thranduil 'sigh' they won't give up, will they?

Author Reply: Hey! While I was poking around trying to figure out how you saw the summary, I found this review. Sorry I never answered it. I don't think I ever saw it here. What a treat to find it now. :-)

The poor elflings did get what they deserved--they are lucky the thing with the yellow eyes in that chapter didn't eat them or that they didn't fall into the river.

Moonbows are awesome. There was one near where I lived when I was a kid. They look so bright in the darkness. They really do look like magic. And cinnamon apples are delicious--really a big thing where I grew up.

Never fear, Marti and her conniving friends will be along shortly. ;-)

Thanks for the review!

Hi there, I just love the way you portray Thranduil, always carefree and not always too serious. The scene with him and the dogs were adorable, but you should of added that the puppies kept biting him, well, thats at least what my puppies do, oh and lick as well 'sigh' oh, and slobber all over me, once they had eaten or drunk. Thats beside the point, the list you made was very helpful, I was able to tell who was who, but know I started getting confused with all the elflings running around and who belongs to who, probably because I haven't read this fic in a while, but don't worry, I understand how RL can get in the way of everything. I hope this review is satisfyingly long. And try to update as soon as you can, bye.

Author Reply: :-) Little needle sharp puppy teeth are terrible weapons, aren't they? I used to have a golden retriever that would take a big slurp of water and then dribble it all over the place, including me if I was in his path. He was a great dog!

I'm glad you like Thranduil with them. I thought it was a cute scene. Thranduil needs a little play time too, I think. ;-)

If it makes you feel better, even I get confused with some of Legolas's friends--that's why I had a list to post. As for RL, I am pretty determined not to let it take over so much anymore. I have two more chapters completely edited for posting. For simple little fluffy elfling stories, I am rather amazed at how hard it is to get these the way I like them to post. But the last half of this story is also completely edited and ready to post...'course it's the angsty part...

Thanks for the reviews! (I hope this review is satisfyingly long.) Long or even one word, I love them and appreciate them so much!
