| I remember reading this wonderful story before, and it's very nice to read it again at the holiday season. I loved Sam's fretting and missing Frodo so, and Frodo not even realizing that Sam meant home to him, until he came back to Bag End and found him waiting. Lovely. | TBC?? YES!!!!!! Poor Bilbo must be beside himself with worry for Frodo, especially not even knowing the reason why the boy ran away. I hope you will continue to write more--Bilbo and Frodo need to clear the air, as does Sam. I would love to read a scene where Bilbo, Esmeralda, etc. discover that Frodo is truly missing. | Oh Frodo! He should really know, that his uncle loves him dearly! Bilbo must have been beside himself when he found out that Frodo left Brandy Hall. On the other hand, little Sam is happy now. How did he know that Frodo might come? Foresight? And I think, Frodo is happy, too. With a friend like Sam around, Bag End is really home :) One question: Where was Merry? Little Merry simply adores his older cousin. Couldn't he have cheered him up? Of course, this should be continued, for Bilbo has some explaining to do! | A bit confusing as in the Shire calendar Yule and the New Year fall on the same two days. But love the imagery and the idea Sam would want to share both with Frodo. Author Reply: Thank you! :) I actually hold on to the fact that Yule is similar to Christmas. But thanks for the info anyway. | |
