That was really cool! I had no idea where all these memory flashes were coming from until the end. I enjoyed the whole "pippin pee" conversation too. That was most amusing :) I'm glad to be back on the site again. I've been so busy lately, and this is the first story I've read in weeks! Author Reply: Hehehehe, the "Pippin pee" part tickled a lot of folks :) I'm so very glad you liked it and I'm glad you are finding time to read again. Thank you so much for responding.

Pearl, you never cease to amaze me. That was SO COOL! It was a little hard to follow, but then fevered dreams rarely cooperate with anyone. I love how you blended all the items into that story... some without even saying what they were by name, like Rivendell and Denethor. That was just amazing. Great Job! ::whispers quietly::: now could you please tell me why she spelled out 'your name', and put items with it? Was she just being cute? ;) Author Reply: Thank you so very much :) This was for a Marigold's Challenge in which she always gives each author a starter and we have to write a story from there. This Challenge she did like a Chinese menu - one from column A, one from column B - and so on. She had 4 columns each with 26 words or phrases and she used the first 4 letters of the author's screen name to get their combination of ideas from the 4 columns. She sent me 2 as I often have written more than one story per challenge :) I'm glad you liked my result!

I know I reviewed this over at the Challenge, but I could not let it go by here without re-reading. What a powerful piece of writing you have here, showing the stages of Pippin's life from the earliest time that he might conceivably remember (and how many are truly capable of remembering that far back?) all the way to his wakening at Cormallen, a scene I often like to speculate on. And very well done at that! Author Reply: I'm near to speechless - a double review! :) Thank you so very much. Sorry for the slow response but I'm still trying to recover my bearings from my trip. I'm so glad you enjoyed this story :)
