Ghosts  by Antane 7 Review(s)

What a story! I gess it’s Iluvatar?
As Frodo said because Sam stays this night the “ghost” didn’t need to be here.
You write Frodo and Sam so beautiful, dear. The friendship, the love, the trust.
Thank you for this wonderful gem. I really really enjoyed it.

Lots of hobbity hugs,
Julchen

Author Reply: Ding, ding, ding! You are right!

So glad you enjoyed! *hugs you right back* Ah, hobbity love and this story barely scratches the surface of that!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

The Holy Ghost?

Author Reply: Iluvatar Himself, Who I imagine as God the Father, but I'll give you credit for the right answer. :)

ANtane,
Let me guess.....was it Sam? I'm pretty sure it was, but I'd be grateful if you told me. Poor Frodo. In all the fics, he seems the one to always get the worst treatment, and then the most TLC! He's so fun to write about! Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author Reply: My dear Frodo, it's actually Iluvatar, but Sam makes sense too since his love is God's love.

Thanks *so very much* for all your kind reviews of my stories! It is much appreciated. :) I love writing about these two! I wish I had my own Sam.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is great, but I have no idea who the presence might be. Sam is the only one who comes to mind, where Frodo feels he's felt this presence before. It leaves me very curious as to who you intended it to be. But still a good story, maybe better for the mystery.

I think you'll find my pre-quest dreams in "For Eyes to See as Can" to be very similar. I enjoyed this very much; am not certain if the ghost is Isildur or one of the Valar strengthening Frodo--perhaps Gandalf or Galadriel from a distance.

Of course, I like to think Iluvatar Himself is offering comfort until Sam is able to take over.

Author Reply: Ding, ding, ding!!! Yes, it's Iluvatar! But I do like the idea that people think it's Sam since Sam loves with God's love. I am looking forward to reading "For Eyes" and more of your other stories. I'm glad you enjoyed my story.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I totally agree with Shirebound about how you have captured this relationship. To answer your question No I don't think that you have made the identity of the presence clear but then it is all the more fun to have an opinion. My guess is Gandalf who promised to keep two eyes on Frodo as often as possible. He affects Frodo and the ring later

You're capturing this legendary, unconditional friendship beautifully. I don't know who the "presence" is, but I rather enjoy the idea that it might be Sam himself.
