This was very nice! I loved it!

My favourite thing was that little 'trick' at the end of the examinations. And I liked the Pippin/'stranger' scenes the most.:o) Good work!

Author Reply: Thank you, Laerien! I'm so glad you enjoyed this, it was so fun for me to write wee Pippin interact with that mysterious "stranger" :)

What a great story! I thought that the hobbits were bang on. I always like your stories about Pippin.

Author Reply: Thanks so much, simbelmyrne! I'm always happy to hear when people think I've written the characters accurately. I'm so glad you enjoyed this :)

This was just lovely.I assume the stranger was Aragorn,as no other has that healing power.I love the foreshadowing that they will meet again. Most enjoyable.

First meeting--and a lovely one at that. Was it the medicine or the healer--or most likely a combination of the two? Ah, the movies have impressed Viggo's appearance as Aragorn on us all, hasn't it?

Thanks for this one. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Author Reply: I admit that I like movie!Aragorn better than book!Aragorn. To me his movie counterpart is more likeable :)

I'm so happy that you enjoyed this. Thanks so much, Larner!

What a great job Aragorn, I mean the mysterious ranger did taking care of little Pippin. :) And how like Pippin to be the one to get into trouble. Lovely story.

Author Reply: I'm sure Aragorn, I mean the Mysterious Stranger, appreciates your praise. And I think that Pippin doesn't really get into trouble, it's just that trouble follows him around ;) I'm glad you enjoyed this and thanks for commenting :)

"They soon dropped off to sleep, and when they woke in the morning they never discovered that in the woods a silent stranger had stood guard, protecting them in the darkness."

A perfect ending to a great story :)

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Pearl! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)

Oh, well done! *claps with delight*

Injured!Pippin healed by mysterious ranger, yay! I love it when Pip crows, "elves!"

Who was that scruffy man, and how did Pippin's wound heal so quickly? Hm, young Pippin didn't get a good look at him, so he wouldn't be able to recognize him should they meet in the future, say, at the Prancing Pony.

I love these unexpected hobbit/ranger encounters, thanks!

Author Reply: The scruffy man was the Mysterious Stranger, of course. Any resemblance to Aragorn is purely coincidental. *grin*

Thanks very much for your enthusiastic response! I'm so happy that you enjoyed this! :)
