Pearl's Pearls  by Pearl Took 13 Review(s)

I didn't mean to say "doing anything to make it true" Pippin wouldn't do that. he is trying everything to make it UNtrue. I don't think I'd ever write a story having Pippin kill Merry on purpose... that would be freaky

I like this alot, it reminds me of a story I'm writing called "Death is for nightmares"..... yeah the title sucks but I couldn't think of a better one. In that story Pippin has a nightmare he has killed Merry and he is stopping at nothing to make it true.... very unfinished lol

Author Reply: OH MY! Your story does sound nightmarish!

I'm glad you like this pippinsgirl, thank you so much!

Well, I'm glad it ended the way it did. You gave me a small scare there!

But dreams can be horrigying and glimpses into things that SHOULD NOT be. Glad Merry was able to accept Pip's reason for the note.... Nice job.

Author Reply: I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner to this agape! *embarrassed blushing"

I was also glad it ended as it did when my muse presented me with it :-)

Thank you so much for reading and responding :-)

Keep meaning to get back to this set and always have something else going on, but now I'm glad to be back! A most startling and delightful tale. M & P seem more like brothers than cousins here! Pippin is such a kick in the pants! And I bet Merry deserved what he got! lol

Yes, I think things started to even out for them - I'm sure Pip wasn't the only one to be foolish ;)

Well, this is a side of Pippin that I never considered before...wonderfully done!

Author Reply: I think we all have moments where murder sounds appealing, even of someone we dearly love. But of course most of us would never do it. Billy Graham's wife was once asked if she ever thought of divorcing him (gone all the time, celebrity status, etc.). She said, "Divorce never! I've thought of murder a few times though."

Thank you so much for sticking with me through all of this madness :)

What a strange and interesting story!

But the ending made me laugh out loud, Pippin's clever quip about Merry losing control of his arms ever since he fell off the pony...
*g*

Author Reply: I'm glad you found it interesting as well as strange ;) Some times I have a strange twist in my brainstem.

Thanks for reading and responding, Lin :) :)

What a nasty dream. And I suspect it was more discovering that he could play the Merry role that scotched it - and that he had learned exactly how to do it from his big cousin.

Good thing it was far enough down the line that neither of them were distressed by the thought of Pippin watching his cousin drown.

Very spooky start!

Author Reply: Thank you :) Yes, it is often frightening what we do in our dreams. I was glad myself that Merry took it all so well. Thank you for reading and responding, Bodkin!

Very nicely done! Pippin just had to be jealous of Merry at some point in time. I love the little story that Pip wrote to rid himself of the dreams and the fact that all it really took to make things better was for Merry to have an awkward moment! Loved it! Hope there are more little stories coming.

Author Reply: Thank you GW :) I've found I'm writting wee stories a bit more than I used to so there may be more :) I've made use of the turning doodles into drawings thing myself a few times ;)

Yes 'writing it out' as Larner puts it can come back to haunt us! Enjoyed this Pearl.

Author Reply: hehehe Yes, we need to be careful of the evidence! Thank you, harrowcat :)

I Love It! I can remember feeling a lot like Pippin did at the time he wrote that. I have a friend who, when we were younger, could do no wrong, while I could do almost no right. I loved her and hated her at the same time. I don't remember if I had dreams of doing her harm, but I still understand where he's coming from. I glad he was able to see that Merry wasn't perfect, and that they ended up giving each other a hard time when one of them did something clumbsy or uncouth.

Thanks.

Garnet Took.

Author Reply: Thank you, Garnet! My huband is one of those "practically perfect" types, but I love him inspite of it :D
