Teeny Pip, all wrapped up and sharing with the bird! I am dead dead dead from the cute.

Author Reply: Having fun with my drabbles, are we? Glad you like it!

Aw, that's so sweet! There's nothing like being genuinely nice and caring to children to make people think twice about your reputation. And I can just see Frodo picking up Marigold and drying her tears.

Author Reply: The Gaffer can be fun to write, because his is such a country accent. I really need to get back into the swing of fanfiction.

Ha, that's what you get for telling little ones scary stories!
I would really like to see this subject revisited, on the trip from Rivendell.

AhahahahaHA. I wonder what Eowyn would think if she knew she was being used to get little Hobbit children to eat their vegetables!

Author Reply: If I remember correctly, this was inspired by a night when I had to convince my nieces to eat their veggies. I think I actually used Harry Potter as an example ("Do you seriously think that he could defeat Voldemort with a stomach full of cookies?"), but that was easily changed into Eowyn. Nice and silly. :)

I love this picture! She ate vegetables!

(shades of Popeye the Sailor Man...)

Now why didn't my Dad think of ways like this to get me to eat my 'greens' when I was little. I was just threatened with 'no pudding'. Very hobbit-like but not as effective. *g*

Eowyn as the Popeye of her day and world has me flat giggling! "Vegetables!"

"I am what I am and that's all that I am,
I'm Eowyn the sword-wielding dragonslayer!"

Aha! So, now we know the source of all those legends, do we--a small boy in Rivendell preparing for mighty deeds of his own, finishing the stories told first to him by his adar. Wonderful imaginings!

funny, I was just reading in a "scholarly work" about the sources C.S. Lewis and Tolkien drew upon for their works.

We were deep in Arthurian tales not so long ago, but we seem to have moved on to Robin Hood for the present.

Whoo! You fooled me. I thought it was Moria, and Gollum...

What a nice ending!
