I loved this alternative version, especially that Gishvane survived.I also enjoyed the scenes for Aragorn with Vhliori and Hiberon.

A tense and searing chapter! I hope Aragorn regains his right mind; and that Faramir doesn't bleed to death...

AWESOME!!!! What an EXCELLENT chapter!!! The descriptions of the different accounts of the battle is so vivid that I was right in the middle it. I bit my nails in this chapter as much as I did the original version. I thought it was brilliant that Aragorn used Arwen's sword to bring down Harishdane. Love Aragorn's words "She is mine to kill!". Revenge is so sweet! (Evil smile---I really am a peaceful person!). Another chapter that had me at the edge of my seat. Keep it up!!! Author Reply: Yeah, I'm a very peaceful person either... unless it comes to writing. *g* I use up all my aggressive energy in chapters like this one. LOL - T.

This was very exciting, you kept me guessing all the way through ! I promise I've not forgotten your story, some domestic things have cropped up as well as the extra editing of my own work.but once I have my next chapter posted,I'll turn my attention to Untrodden Paths Author Reply: No need to hurry! Life's stressful enough, so take your time when doing things you like. - T.

THis is GREAT!!!! I like this ending so much better than the first one, and I thought that one was wonderful! Please, hurry with more--I'm dying to see how this ends! Great job, you guys are 2 terrific writers, with a talent for characterization and scenes--your characters are so rich and life-like, they leap out of the story, and your scenes are so detailed I'm swallowed whole into the story and hear the sounds of battle all around me. YOu guys are top-knotch writers, please keep up the good work! Author Reply: Welcome to the story! Thanks for your review. Just one little thing: the main story with all 39 chapters was a co-work with Katzilla (she wrote Rohan-based characters, and I wrote the Gondor-based characters and the Easterlings). This litte "twist" was just my idea of how different it would have turned out if Éomer had not been there on time to save his friend in Dunland. - T.

AAARRRGGHHH!! Foiled by those Rohirrims!!! THE CAVALRY ARRIVES!! Your description of the charge is so breathtaking. I was starting to sweat bullets. Asentis is still alive. And so is Gishvane. I wonder how this is going to play out. So now Faramir is taking on his King!!!! What is he going to have to do?My heart is palpitating. Can't wait for the next update. Author Reply: Oh, dear RS, should I give you a hanky for wiping sweat off your brow? Please, calm down a little so you can enjoy the rest of the story. *g* - T.

I just loved this version !It is even more exciting than the other ! Author Reply: Uhum, thanks a lot, Linda! Yet - as pointed out - it is just a mind game, nothing to interfere with the main plot. I just had time and too many ideas on my mind... I'm sure there are much more possibilities to explore. This is just one. - T.

Scene: The Citadel, right outside on a bench by the White Tree. Laire is wringing her hands nervously as she reads the chapter. Once she finishes, she lets out a long breath. The guards nearby are giving her somewhat odd looks... but then again, they are used to her odd behavior. Oh my! What a chapter! My sincere apologies for not reviewing the last chapter. School kept me so busy, it was not funny. But now that I am on vacation... it is all good. This makes a great b-day present (I'm turning 16 tomorrow... might already be the 30th where you live, though O.o). But anyways, what a fabulous chapter! I shall also add thoughts of Ch. 3 here... but first, I need to find Aragorn. Aragorn: I am right here. *jumps* Aragorn! Where'd you come from? You just like... snuck up on me! That scared me! Aragorn: *chuckles* You just need to be more observant. Now, what is it that you wished to show me? This. New chapter. Aragorn: *groans* Oh, what fun do I experience now? ... well, you *almost* escaped... but wait, first see Ch 3. There you are tied to that lovely cross thing. Aragorn: Fabulous. *nod* And Faramir calls a retreat. And you are exhausted and all... and Asentis and Harishdane are really, really mean and stupid... I really want to hurt them... but see here! Chapter 4 is not that bad... no, wait, actually it is. The priestess frees you, but because of Harishdane's witchcraft, you can't move... and you go to strike Faramir! *guards look at her oddly* Aragorn: This is... quite lovely. Anything actually good happening for me or Gondor? Actually, yes. Eomer came! The Rohirrim save your sorry butts again. Aragorn: ... ... well, it's *true*. But I'm sure you'll save them... one day. Aragorn: We saved them from Dunland, remember? ... well, I don't think that *counts*... and even if it does, you still owe them for Pelennor and when Eorl the Young came in. Aragorn: I wasn't king during either period of time, so I do not 'owe' them anything. Yea, yea, yea, sure... well, I loved this chapter, Mrs. Timmy ^^ Hope life is treating you well, and hope to hear from you soon! *bows and exits* Author Reply: Laire, this was just too good to be true. *author still chuckles* Belated birthday greetings from my side. I hope you celebrated Gondorian-style!! Well, let's see. Aragorn does not approve of the way the author deals with him? Now, come on, other readers would very much miss excitement if he could just slip away, escape, vanquish his foes. Just with a snap of his fingers? Boring stuff. So this might just go on a little bit. But - assure him, please - there is an end in sight. Hugs from me, too. - T.

Hmmm, pull back, release, twang, thack!! This arrow things work really well, I am going to find some very large arrows, and give them to Arwin. An elf should be able to hit Harishdane and make her die. Author Reply: Elven power will do magic, believe me. - T.
