good job - look forward to the rest. Love your version of Glorfindel. Author Reply: Thank you, that's always high praise to my ears. :)

I really like the way this is developing - and the understated way Glorfindel uses his talents to help people. Not to mention his entertaining way of aggravating his friends. Please do finish - this hanging thing is too suspenseful.

I come back and re-read this from time to time, and enjoy it just as much with each visit...I do surely wish you'd consider writing more! BC Author Reply: First, thank you for that lovely message. It was a surprise to see anyone reading this old thing. :) I'm digging out the notes the oh-so-kind Nilmandra sent me on suggestions, dusting it off and going to see if I can finish this. Thank you for the encouragement...no promises but unfinished stories are just a little bit sad.

Discontinued!!? Why? It's cruel to stir my interest so and then refuse to gratify it! Rethink - I'm sure you want to finish it really.

First, apologies for the delay. Not that I gave up, but life's been intruding in quite a nasty way... and now I'm quite behind... I like this Glorfindel, self assured to the point of being a bit reckless despite his supossed knowledge. He is great fun, and most probably a great headache fo Círdan. Attacked by a band of jellyfish indeed! That was great. I bet they were attracted by his floating mane, and thought he was their lost mummy or something! :-) I like the way he finally opened up to his feelings and decided that he and Bronwe deserved a chance for hapiness, even if there was still work to do in M-earth. Sounded very reasonable to me, and I liked to see him so happy. That was a nice twist. Go on as you can. I am very interested in the wrongness in the waters and in the forest. Now I have surmised that we are not very far from the time when Celerěan sailed, so Shadow is spreading, and the thought that it is spreading across the havens, too, is very interesting.

I was thinking about your comment on simplicity when I read this chapter. I like that about Bronwe - she is a complex person, yet her love is straightforward and real. I am glad for that for her and for Glorfindel. I am thrilled he finally came to his senses. Good chapter, nice to see the banter of the Silvans, I love yor old barnacle, and felt awful for Elrond. Author Reply: I can't promise a happier Elrond in the future chapters, though I'd love to! Lots of good, so now...bad must happen! Bwahaha*coughcough* ;D Thanks for all your help, Nilmandra

I loved the way Glorfindel quietly strengthened the web the Silvan elves created. He would be very useful that way! And I'm glad he finally acknowledged what Bronwe meant to him. Even if it did take being at the point of a second death. The sight of Erestor watching Elrond grieve for his lost wife was heart-rending. Elrond has withstood so much in his life - I am so glad I know he was reunited with Celebrian. He deserved happiness. I like the Silvan elves on the journey to Imladris. The drunk who thought that Failon made a pretty girl! And the difficulty of finding the hidden valley - and its pleasant greenness - rang very true. Good chapter. I'm looking forward to reading more. Author Reply: Hi Bodkin, Glorfindel does have his uses. Chasing off Witch Kings, helping wounded hobbits... ;) He's a good friend to Elrond and to me that's a very endearing thing about him. Elrond certainly had more than enough events in his life that were awful and deserved to have at least someone who would never leave him through a great deal of that time. Thanks again, Bodkin :)

Sigh...Love this rewrite of the story even more. What a wonderfully sexy GLorfindel you have created! Loved the scenes with him and Bron and with him and Cirdan. Feel very sorry for Elrond. More please! Author Reply: Elrond is an amazing character when you consider all that he went through in his long life. I have always liked the idea that Glorfindel was sent to help him and be by his side and make life...well, easier, or at least make Elrond laugh a bit. :) If anyone needed an unwaiveringly loyal friend it is Elrond and I like to think Glofindel was that. I'll try to write more soon, but I'm so happy you like it so far!
