What a pleasure to find such a well written story that I had not read before. I do hope the author still reads the reviews now and again to know that the story is still being discovered and enjoyed.

That a nice story. I loved the way you show them both good and worthy as they are and still att odds (is it the correct expression?) with each other; and Faramir ever so perceptive and Eowyn confused. And you made the story intersting without bad hurts and big adventures -- not a small feat.

I'm glad Eomer and Aragorn's minds were set at rest. Although, in many ways, Faramir and Eowyn's happiness is more by luck than judgment. Luck and admirable patience on Faramir's part.

Even if Faramir and Eowyn had loved each other dearly from the Gardens part of the story, their marriage would have required a great deal of determination and willingness to compromise from both of them. They are ornamentally - and socially - acceptable to each other, but they have very different backgrounds - and, probably, expectations of marriage.

But that was a lovely ending!

I have enjoyed this story very much and it does fit with my own idea of Faramir and Eowyn, it it would take time for love to grow. You Faramir is lovely,a usband any lady would surely grow to love,so kind and gentlemanly.Thank you for an enjoyable and beautifully written story.I hope you will write more in future.

Awww, I LOVED the ending! Nice touch, ending it with Eomer and his concern for his sister, beginning with him talking to Aragorn about it, and then walking through the city with Faramir and Eowyn. hehehe, I can just imagine that! LOL, smart Faramir to know that Eowyn's brother, who had the clout of also being King, would need some private time with her to assuage his concerns. Good thing he could be fairly confident the report would be favorable! And finishing up with the sunrise was a nice touch, with Eomer observing them undetected, where he could see for himself that she was keeping nothing from him, that she truly was happy and loved and in love. I would have liked some sort of little mention of how their changed status may have helped her with any lingering memories of Grima, or him with any continuing nightmares of fire, but still.... a wonderful, satisfying, absolutely YUMMY ending. Thanks!!!

Oh... very good. I LOVE the 'ranger game'. Very well described, and full of emotion as well. I felt almost breathless myself as they played.

I also loved Faramir and Elessar's exchange, where the King inquires as to the well-being of his Steward and his Lady. His concern is not just as a king, but as a friend who cares about the people involved, and who perhaps also feels a little responsible for their happiness since it was at his request that they married.

And Faramir, holding "his gaze open for his Lord to search and understand"... excellent. It shows his beautiful nature, the trust he has for his King and friend, his absolute decency and honor. Wow.. that just got to me. *huge, deep sigh* I LOVE Faramir! LOLOL

And finally he says the words he needs to say, speaking out to her. "I have missed you." "I love you." I'm glad he spoke them first, and that they've finally reached out to each other in trust and love. *another sigh, with a sappy grin on my face* Great job, Ellethill!! Very satisfying!

A fitting end to an excellent AU story! The image of Faramir and Eowyn sitting, her in his arms, on their balcony watching the sunrise, is delightful.

Eomer's concern is well-described, along with his relief that Eowyn is finally experiencing long overdue and deserved happiness.

Yay! Patience pays off. I'm glad they've both managed to speak of their feelings and wishes. Although it must have been frustrating, those ten days apart must have been the clincher - with each aching for the presence of the other. And now, they're walking off into the sunset!

A beautiful chapter. The "game" was perfect for lowering inhibitions.
I love Faramir's tenderness and concern. It was also nice to see Aragorn again.

Ohh, very sweet! I like this story.
My favorite part of this chapter was the game. But, still can't see this like the end... don't know why.

Author Reply: That's because there's also the epilogue to post... :) Soon...
