Ah! A well-told tale indeed. Left me feeling sad for Faramir - that the brothers would be separated - but 'road trips' can be such fun! Thanks for sharing this and for your unstinting devotion to 'not' leaving a tale unfinished! Blessings, Agape

Had to go back and reread - but it was worth the time. This is truly a lovely tale. Such hardship to stand at the burial ground of a beloved father - especially one who seemed, in his last moments to have failed Gondor. But the love and understanding of Boromir was such a blessing. And Faramir's presence only made it better. Bless them both! Nice job! Glad to see it continuing (sorry I missed this chapter) Now - onto the next one! PS - hope all is well and the RW lets you enjoy yourself a bit more in this 'subcreating' thing!

It is nice to see the brothers finding some peace at last with the past.

Loved the preparations and thought how right it was for the people of Gondor to welcome home their 'son' with joy and banners and song! I cried 'Yeah!' when they began the 'Boromir' chant! *quiet sob of appreciation* *wishes I was there* Aw'd at Boromir's exhaustion and yet his continuing on to touch the White Tree. So symbolic for all of Gondor... but especially her Numenorean sons and daughters. I loved Elros' gentle support. Oh - and I wrote 'Excellent' next to the silver trumpet paragraph - One cannot speak of Boromir without a silver trumpet somewhere near - and you wrote it exquisitely. And I loved that he couldn't open hi seyes till his brother spoke. I loved the glimmer of mischief... ah, yes. He is recovering! The next chapter will be difficult - I hope you can post it soon - for I much desire to see/hear/feel what Boromir does at the tomb. Oh - and I dearly hope that he takes Faramir with him??? Though perhaps his little brother isn't quite ready for that. Excellent chapter!

Oh wow, jenolas, it's great to see you back!! If you don't mind, I'm going to wait and re-read the whole thing again when I can before leaving a review because it's been a while but I just wanted to let you know I'm still reading. I hope all is well and really, it's so good to see an update from you again :-) Author Reply: Hi Dot, it's wonderful to hear from you again. All is well at present and I hope to be able to update more often, I hate the thought of leaving a fic unfinished. I hope you enjoy the fic when you read it again and I look forward to any comments you may wish to make. regards jenolas

I'm pleased that Boromir doesn't think badly of what happened to Denathor, as no one is perfect. I also got a laugh out of Boromir and Aragorn's reaction to Haldir and elves and the knack for understatement. Thank you for a wonderful update, and i look forward to reading more from you when you have the time. Lyn Author Reply: Yes, Elves can be people of few words at times! I think his own experience with the one ring would have given Boromir the ability to see that his father was not entirely himself in his last days. Thanks for taking the time to review, I know it has been a long time between updates. jenolas

Ah! This was an excellent chapter. I'm not surprised at Boromir's decision - how could he ever take back a position that now belonged to his beloved brother? And how could the people not be joyous at the news of his return? Again - great chapter and I loved the ending - and what Legolas 'sees!' Whoo hoo - party tonight in Minas Tirith!
