Love Letters  by Antane 4 Review(s)
harrowcatReviewed Chapter: 12 on 2/17/2006
It is often the small things that will overwhelm you when you are grieving and at the most unexpected moments. I am so glad that Rosie is so wise in the ways of her Sam. It sounds like Frodo is healing more quickly than Sam is recovering from his grief. They both need to nearly recover before they are re-united.

Accepting loss can be quite difficult. I know I seemed to see my little one everywhere for a time. Wonder where he's ended up.

Oh yes, the little things will always make one remember. Weither it a song or a simple trick of the mind and heart, one will always remember the dearly missed by those little things.

We must...not...stop to...rest...or she...she'll get...ahead...and I won't...be...able...to keep...up. Breathe! *grins* I'm teasing. Whew! You're going to set a record for the most chapter postings in a day, Antane! :) But you know I just love it!

Now to the reason for this review. :) Oh, this is such a beautiful chapter, and you captured so perfectly what I was thinking of earlier today. My mom was talking about our little pet bird who died when I was eleven, and I, silly as I am, just got all teary-eyed, thinking of how he never would perch but must sleep lying down and how he loved cornbread of all things. And it's been years! But yes, that is so true to life, and very touching. Poor, dear Sam. But bless Rosie and Frodo-lad and Elanor for being there! :)
God bless,
Galadriel
