A fascinating movie-verse moment here. Love it! Author Reply: Oh, you're so good to write one for each drabble! Thank you! Yes, I do like to throw in movie-verse moments here and there. They were good movies, in my opinion! And it provides much inspiration for even bookverse ideas. thank you!

Yes, losing the Ring itself will tear a hole in his master. I'd guess the three are Frodo, Sam and Gollum going through the Dead Marshes, the two are the two faces of Gollum, and the ONE the fourth member of the group--the Ring itself. Author Reply: Thank you for reading! And for writing a review. It seems that "three" and "one" were pretty much a given for all who guessed, but that two was kind of a free for all. The title comes from my thought that this was "three drabbles through two eyes for one Ring." The idea was to write from Sam's perspective, and so I wrote one drabble for each, through Sam's eyes (his perspective), and yes, it is all for the Ring, isn't it? thanks again!

Three travelers, the pair of Frodo and Sam, and Gollum alone? Three people, though two concsiousnesses for Gollum? Three on the quest, two under (or nearly) the sway of the One Ring? Three worries, though two just for his master (external and internal threats)? Author Reply: Ah, you attempted the quiz! Brave soul. Very good guesses, you were nearly on the right track. The full title should read: Three drabbles through two eyes for one Ring That is: Three drabbles, one for each of the characters. Two eyes - that is, Sam's eyes, as the drabbles were all through Sam's perspective. One Ring - well, duh... ;-) Thanks for reading!

At least the wargs were deceased. Yes, a child of Mirkwood indeed. Author Reply: You are so good to comment on all of these! Yes, I threw my Yule drabbles here too. They were fun to write; I just didn't have time to continue. My favorite was the one with Sauron, lots of fun. The red Rangers were a bit more difficult. But I'm glad you enjoyed them all!

Came out a bit more than a mere drabble, I must say. Hehehehehe! Sauron and the decorations! Incorporeality does leave him in a bit of a bind, doesn't it!

Aha! Another of the mathoms crept back in, I see. Lovely indeed. Love the oliphaunts!

I see one of the challenges crept in anyway. Lovely indeed.

I love the imagery and the feelings evoked, but cannot fully place the characters or at least not the situation. Interesting. Author Reply: Thank you for all your comments, Larner. I actually was imagining Legolas and Gimli, in a Fourth Age setting in an unknown conflict. But I purposely made it ambiguous because I wanted the focus on just what you focused on! And if someone imagined someone else as the speaker, that's well and good.

There must have been a bit of worry that Sam, having found for certain where it was his Master went and that the same grace was possibly granted to himself, might have chosen to go then. So glad she's picturing it much as it happened. Author Reply: Oh, thank you, Larner! Except I didn't realize it could be read this way. I actually had in mind Rosie waiting for Sam to return after disappearing without notice the first time. I think, though I'm not sure, she had some idea where he was going the second time. But I always wondered what the hobbits' families thought they were up to when they disappeared without a word.
