To See Justice Done  by Lindelea 6 Review(s)
Anso the HobbitReviewed Chapter: 1 on 2/22/2006
Sam definitely knows how to see things through and I am glad of his determination. It saved Frodo and I have the hopes that it might be what will save Beregond too. Off to next chapter!

Wonderfully begun! I enjoy seeing Sam growing and tackling challenges. "all the good it will do" indeed. It will be interesting to see what you have Sam say. Do go on!

Author Reply: Thanks! Sam's got it all clear in his mind, but expressing it in a satisfactory way is going to require him to marshal all his forces. (And he's been up all night. Not a good foundation for clear thinking.)

And we do take his meaning, beloved gardener, counselor, and keeper of hearts.

Aragorn will heed the advice of this one, I think.

Author Reply: I certainly hope he heeds. Just need to get his attention, I think.

Now here we have Sam taking something very seriously. It doesn't come naturally to him to assert himself as a Ringbearer and over-rule others, but he will do it if he has to.

For all the good it will do.

Author Reply: Poor Sam, that last bit sounds so ominous and fateful.

But he's a stubborn hobbit, and even though the right words don't necessarily come clear, at least they come somehow.

Yeh! Brilliant! Yes, YEs, YES you got it here, and very quickly too! *Manic grin for a wonderful story*

Author Reply: LOL, yes, thought I'd strike while the iron's hot! (Besides, this story is about all I've been working on the past week... now if I can only budge "Thain" from its rut...)

This is shaping up to be an interesting tale, Lindelea. I've always been a fan of Sam-centric fics, and I have a feeling this is going to be a good one. Sam has never been one to see an injustice done to anyone - man or hobbit - and knowing what lies in store for Beregond (death or exile), he is bound to try and convince Elessar that death is NOT the answer.

Looking forward to the next chapter...

Author Reply: Thanks! Let me know if it lives up to your expectations! *g*

Sam does seem to be the type who would see the basic truths of a situation and would discount all the ceremonial trappings obscuring matters. Plain good sense, that's what's needed here.
