How sweet!! I knew Sam coming would do the trick. Thanks for a great story, Ellie! I want to read the sequel. At least, I think there is a sequel. I think I saw one listed.

Author Reply: yes there is indeed a sequal! And I think I will write more of these soon! Glad you've enjoyed it!
GOd bless,
Ellie

Awww! Poor Frodo! What will he do without old Bilbo?

Author Reply: Indeed! This was one of the harder parts, because I really don't know what he'd do without Bilbo. *ponders some more*
God bless,
Ellie

"While playing, Frodo had accidentally stubbed his tow trying to grab the flag..."

I think you meant 'toe' :-)

Awww, in dreams terrible things can happen, as well as lovely.

I will finish this story tomorrow. It has been great so far!

Author Reply: Oops! *blushes* I noticed that a while ago, and must've forgot to change that!
God bless,
Ellie

Frodo isn't hungry! Huh, their must be a problem.

Do I catch a hint of flashback to the movie Osgiliath scene when Frodo says, "I can't do this, Sam." Only in this story, he says it to Gandalf.

Unsent letters. I've done that before, who knows how many times? They are good for you.

~Nella

Author Reply: Definately a problem if a hobbit isn't hungry. But then again, my friends think I'm a hobbit and I don't eat very much either. Oooh, I didn't even remember that scene when I wrote this! I like that! Really? I've only met one other person who writes unsent letters, and I really liked the idea, sp I thought I'd use it.
God bless,
Ellie

Hehe-- those stubborn hobbits. What would we ever do with out them.

Ya know, I never really thought about what Frodo thought after the Ring was destroyed. All that you hear in the movie about it is when he says "It's gone!" in a shocked, relieved sort of way on the lava surrounded rock. I like the POV of the story!

Author Reply: What would we do without them?

I've thought about it very often, as you'll see if you read "The Latter Days". I'm a lover of angst stories, and that's the perfect thing to write about! I'm so glad you're enjoying this, though it isn't one of my best stories. *blushes*

Hey Ellie! I said in my PM I was going to read The Steward of Gondor, but apparently that wasn't there anymore, so I decided to read this one. You are really good with Frodo! Frodo is a hard character to write, even harder than Faramir, if you want to do him well. I liked the part about how there was despair in Frodo's voice-- even in Paradise. I always thought that too. Great job!

Author Reply: Nella! Hello! Yes, I had it written, then decided to rewrite it, and forgot to take it off the list. Sorry about that! Thanks! I love writing Frodo, but it is really hard. Glad you liked it!
God bless,
Ellie

Hey Ellie!
i'm so glad that I was finaly able to finish reading the story! after weeks of wait'n sooooo long.I'm so glad that Frodo was healed, and got to see Sam again.

I like your "angsty" storys. I can't wait for you to post more!!!!!!

I was really impressed by how well all the words flowed together! I still love how you were able to give the Christian message through the story.

God Bless ^_^

PS it comes in pints!!!!!!!! Namarrie

Author Reply: Yeah, weeks, sure! I'm gonna start posting the sequal as soon as i have it typed. You'll like that one, slightly less angsty, but still.... Really glad you liked it.
Luv ya,
Elanor :)
P.S. It does come in pints!

I'm sad and glad to have this story over so soon - sad because it's over, but glad for the same reason because I'm giving up my hobbits for Lent and I was sure I would have to wait to read the end. But I hope you write more stories. I agree that we writers use other people to get a message across.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: OOOooh, good luck with that! I've never actually done lent, but my aunt has. Thanks for reviewing!
God bless,
Ellie

Wow, Ellie! I loved this! First and formost, I never even thought about using fanfic to share the gospel--in a sense, anyway! But it seems so obvious. That's a great way to be a witness for Christ! :) :)

The last chapter was my favourite! Sam carrying Frodo to his bedroom and watching him sleep and rejoicing that he was healed-sweet, sweet and loving!

And Meldamiriel (sorry if spelling is wrong) seems like a very sweet elf-I'd love to see more of her somewhere sometime! Her comment about it not being smart to play outside without shoes just cracked me up! :)

This was wonderful, and I look forward to seeing more from you!
God bless!
Galadriel

Author Reply: Really glad you liked it!!! Yeah, my friends and I started writing stories that brought out the gospel and christian ideals, and i decided, why not do it with LotR? I will be writing the next one soon, and there is alot more of Meldamiriel. Thanks for reviewing!
God bless,
Elanor

Oh, I can't believe he tried that there, in the undying lands! Poor dear! And thank goodness Gandalf came when he did! *sigh*
God bless,

Author Reply: Yeah, I was surprised myself when I wrote it! *freaking out* But all will be well soon....i hope!
God bless
