Ten Thousand Years Will Not Suffice  by Agape4Gondor 3 Review(s)

A terrible event after so peaceful and necessary a respite. I grieve for Denethor's loss of innocence, and Amdir's loss of courage as well as the loss of their first child by Thengel and Morwen.

Author Reply: Honestly - I never thought Amdir would be so tested and fail. But Denethor is a good friend... as is their captain. What a way to end a vacation, huh!!!

Well, thanks for the prolific reading. Bless you!

A well-written battle scene, and very good advice from Ciramir.

I can't make this one too long -- I really have to go and do useful things now -- but I loved your description of the battle and its aftereffects on Denethor and Amdir. It's one of the few battle descriptions I've read that really convinced me of the blood and the terror and the desperation of fighting like that.

Author Reply: Thank you! This was my first battle scene ever and I was afraid to write it. But I closed my eyes and imagined it... I am most happy with it - if one can be happy with a battle and death and fear...
