Peregrin and Diamond  by Pearl Took 6 Review(s)

Awww, poor Diamond. What a rough time she's had, but what blessings it will pay off with. She's learned a lot about life already, enough that the flirting and silliness of the lasses is completely foreign to her, but which is exactly what Pippin will need in a wife.

Seems like their relationship is well along already - I dread the idea that there will be some snags to slow it down some.

Author Reply: She'll be in good hands in time :) Pippin sure does need someone steady.

Thank you, AspenJules :)

And it's about time, isn't it? Lovely!

Author Reply: Yes, amazing how a bit of seeing life can open one's eyes ;)

He's a good lad at heart.

Thank you, Larner, for reading and responding. I really appreciate it :)

Poor Diamond! Her life was filled with responsibility just when she should have been dancing and courting. Pippin was so understanding and did the absolute perfect thing here! He was so sweet and this was such a romantic chapter. More soon, I hope!

Author Reply: Thank you, GW :)

Yes, some people have to grow up fast and in that day and age in particular, it would have hindered her socializing. Lads and lasses can both be so blind.

More soon :)

Wow....wow. Very, very beautiful, and very romantic! :-) Poor Diamond and having to deal with her father. *sigh*

I know I keep saying this, but I have to tell you (again!) that for as much as I loved the first edition, this second edition is exquisite. Just lovely! Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Pippinfan!

Life does give some folks heavy burdens and that affects how they turn out themselves.

More will be coming soon ;)

*tear* That made me cry! Poor Diamond! But Pippin is so sweet, asking her to dance and all! Loved it!
God bless,
Ellie

Author Reply: He knows he owes her a good many dances :)

Thank you, Elanor, for reading and responding so faithfully :)

Pippin is kind, certainly, and generous, but still a little famed, I think, for skimming over the surface of life. It'll do him no end of good to look at it from Diamond's perspective.

I don't know that dancing just then was the best thing for him physically just then, but it was definitely good for Diamond. And having aroused his protective nature is a good thing too. For the whole family, I suspect. And she didn't do it on purpose! She's no seductive party lass out to win the future Thain.

Author Reply: No, she's no "party lass". Yes, arousing his protective nature is a very good thing, especially as he knows he was one of those who let her down. He would be moved to make it up to her out of kindness, kinship and friendship even if he didn't feel anything else for her.

Thank you so much, Bodkin for such thoughtful responses :)
