Peregrin and Diamond  by Pearl Took 5 Review(s)
AspenJulesReviewed Chapter: 8 on 7/20/2006
Uh oh! I don't know what I dread more... what Persimonne will try to do, or what Pippin will do to her when she tries it!

Hoo boy - fireworks ahead!

Author Reply: The evil Persimmone gets what's comming to her, be assured of that!

Thanks so much for responding, AspenJules!

I shall rejoice when Persimmone gets her due comeuppance, which shall be soon, I would think. Pippin's not going to stand for anyone disturbing the happiness of his young lady.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner :) No, Pippin has had to defend those he cares about before, She'll be dealt with ;)

Goodness gracious...her she comes, lol! Sour Persimmone. I nearly forgot about her...can't wait for what comes later. ;-)

The banter and playfulness at the fair was excellent, Pearl! I thought the children's Candy-Grab was brilliant, too! :-) Diamond's dress sounds so beautiful--and the ruby and diamond necklace! Just lovely!

Another wonderful chapter! Diamond's dress sounds amazing and I could just imagine the way she and Pippin looked together. Lovely image!

Author Reply: Thank you so much, GW :) I just thought, when I first wrote this, that it would be neat to have her look as distinctive as he would and that it would be a good balm to her old fears about her dresses.

Persimmone Bolger = gormless bimbette. But spiteful. And focused. She is of the opinion that only she deserves social eminence. Diamond isn't all that secure - I'm sure that she will find said Persimmone difficult to deal with.

Fortunately Pippin is tired of being seen as a rung on her ladder - and he's seen worse things than an ambitious hobbit lass. He might need the help of Rosie or Estella, though - he can't stick his sword in this enemy.

Author Reply: Oh yes, Persimmone is focused if nothing else.

No, a pity in a way, he can't run her through. Can't even deck her. But he does have a good support system ;)

Glad you're sticking with this, Bodkin :) Thank you!
