| very good story! i really like it Author Reply: Thank you, Pippinsgirl! It used to be a "cute" story, as it was my first fic written close to four years ago. Now, its a somewhat better story; after my writing got a bit more sophisticated I moved it over to SOA, but its not near the story it could have been if I had caught a certain error before I jumped the gun and posted it. If I sat here and dwelled on it, that certain error would come back to me, but I have so many other things on my mind at the moment, lol. Maybe someday I'll get back to it and do a third edition. ;-) But I do thank you for stopping by to read this humble little tale. :-) Pippinfan | |

| That was very sweet. Pippin fearing that Frodo didn't recognize him was sad, but it all turned out wonderfully. I hate to see this one end, as I do all your tales, but this is a good place to wrap this one up. Thanks. GT. | Beautiful ending chapter! Loved everything about it. You certainly know your hobbits. I love the fact that Pippin wasn't exactly listening to Gandalf's instructions. So Pippin, that. Also loved how careful and tender Merry and Pippin were with Frodo as he woke up. Sorry to see this one end but this is the perfect last chapter. Author Reply: Thank you, G.W.! | “Anything and everything that we did, dear cousin,” said Merry, “was out of love for you, our dear and beloved friend.” That's a lovely way to finish up! I enjoyed this story very much. I don't know where that line came from, but suddenly it was there, and fit just where it landed. :-) I wanted the whole theme of this story to reflect that of the title. | Ah, a worthy gift for Pippin, and we do have a mystery solved from the other story. Lovely indeed. And I'm not sorry it isn't over yet. Author Reply: That's right--you were reading Courtship, too! LOL, well, for as much as I love this story, I am glad to see the final chapter coming together. I do love to read dramas written by other authors, but for me to write it, it gets to me after a while. | I see you posted this after my internet connection went out. LOL I was off line for a bit but was glad to find this when I returned. It is lovely and I enjoyed every word of it. I love the friendship between Beregond and Pippin. It was one of the things that I missed most in the films. I also like the fact that Beregond wanted to give Pippin something for saving his life. Oh, and I am glad that there will be another chapter. If you need to,just keep putting in chapters. I will gladly read and enjoy all of them! Author Reply: LOL, I had wondered what happened! One minute we were talking Hetty and the next you went busy. I figured you probably got busy and your focus was elsewhere. :-) Trust me, you'll get bored if I take this any further than the next chapter, lol. | What a sweet chapter. I love Beregond, and to see him with Pippin is wonderful. Thanks for telling the story of the lovely chess/draughts set. I'm glad this wasn't the last chapter. I want this one to go on a little longer. GT. Author Reply: I really did want to put him in, but was still mulling it over when Lindelea responded to a chapter. Ever since you asked about how Pippin got his special draughts game, I knew from right then how he got it, but at that time, I wasn't entertaining the idea of re-writing this tale. So this was for both me and you, though you're the one who put it in the back of my mind. Thank you! Well, as you know, all things--whether good or boring--must come to an end, lol.
