A Healer of Hearts  by Frodo Baggins 4 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 2 on 5/30/2006
A victory fraught with grief--or so all believe now. But they have no idea that the Eagles who brought the word of victory also managed to find the lost two just in the nick of time, led by One whose vision is even clearer.

Author Reply: Yes, it certainly was led by the One who can see all things and knows all things. Hannon le for reviewing. The victory was fraught with grief - as most victories are. Many good men and women die or sacrifice something for victory. There is more grief ahead, but don't worry. With the tears will be joy. Namarie!

WOW! That's all I can say. I really like Halmir so far. You capture the emotion of this chapter very well. I always wondered what Merry was thinking at that moment, I can't remember them saying much about him there. Very good!
God bless,
Ellie

Author Reply: Hannon le, Elanor. Halmir really was fun to create with the High Lady. Considering this was posted and modified at twelve forty, I'm glad it turned out so well. Well, honestly, poor Professor Tolkein couldn't have said something about everybody at every moment. It would have been very tedious to read and write. That's where fanfic comes in handy. Namarie, and Happy Easter!

Aragorn The KingReviewed Chapter: 2 on 4/14/2006
This story was awesome! It kept me intrigued throught the whole thing! I cant wait to hear the continuation of this incredible story. Its so cool how u include the "Presence" and "Eru". You could also feel like you were there. I was scared when they were just sitting on the edge of death. (Or so they thought.) The song was cool how u used it to show that the war was over and that they had won. The characther Halmir is so creative and how he and Marry were friends. I cant imagine the amount of research it took to write all this. (and how much it will take.) I respect this story. I GIVE IT A TEN STARS!!!!!!!

Author Reply: *bows deeply at waist* Hannon le, my king. It did take a lot of research, but I never could have done it without the help of Queen Galadriel. SHe is an excellent researcher (really just an excellent author and all that goes with that title). Halmir's character was fun to create. Beware, my cousin, for in future chapters, I think you may recognize some of the situations the Hobbits get themselves into. Cousins never grow up!!
God Bless and see you at your house for Easter lunch,

Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 2 on 4/14/2006
Wow! Oh goodness, I know Frodo and Sam won through and didn't make the ultimate sacrifice, but you know what? I'm sitting here just as tense as a bowstring, and was on the verge of tears all through this chapter. This is so amazing and exciting! All that planning and it's finally taking some kind of permanent form!

"The hour of Darkness has come, child. Do now as you wish with what time you have left."

Oh my goodness if that doesn't chill the heart! How'd you come up with that as a reason for Miriel being let off? It's a *good* one!

You do Merry's POV excellently, and I love how you show the friendship between him and Halmir. There's obviously a lot of affection there, as shown by the nickname "Mer." So sweet! :) And I love this:

"Well, Frodo...Frodo is very brave. He’s always been quite solemn for a Hobbit. He was that way since his parents died before I was born, but before the
Quest, he laughed a lot more often. His laughter was so contagious. He...he laughed very little on the Quest. It changed him, you know. He was very sad
when he lost his parents, of course, and he went through periods of depression, but on the Quest, he..he was so sad. Always tired, but always straining,
fighting the Voice of the Ring. Oh, Frodo...you were such a wonderful cousin...and..."Merry’s voice trailed off. A tear left his eyes as they gazed out
the window towards Mount Doom.

*hugs Merry*

Now I'm off to send you the e-mail you've so often imagined...:)
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: *blushing* Well, hannon le, my dear! I...I didn't know exactly how this was going to begin, and I certainly hadn't imagined this, but I'm pleased with it. I hope you are, as well. So you think my reason for Miriel being let off was good? LOL!! Well, considering the conversation we had about healers, and talking about how busy they must have been, I was pretty desperate. But, genious often springs from desperation. Hannon le!
God Bless and Happy Easter!!
