A Healer of Hearts  by Frodo Baggins 4 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 18 on 10/29/2006
Bless them all, and particularly the boy. He's been through so much already.

And to not realize Merry is yet living must be tearing Frodo's poor heart in two.

Author Reply: yes, poor Frodo's heart is torn in two. Hannon le for always being such a faithful reviewer!

Do you have a younger brother?
Well, I have, he's eight years younger than I am. And when he was little I told him lots of made-up stories, but I never created a lullaby! I like yours very much!

I think what Frodo needs most is to be assured that Merry is alive! But as long as he won't wake up, he will remain captured in some terrible, dark dream. I really hope, he'll wake up soon!

To me, Halmir is a hero! But maybe he is too young to understand that.

And what about Merry? I don't know if Budgie read these chapters, but she would have been proud of you ;-)

Please update soon - and don't forget my Merry :)

Author Reply: Yes! My younger brother is seven. In the authors note, I put "while I sang him so work" but I meant sleep. Thank you for the encouragement. That was the only lullaby I've made up that sounds half way decent. I'm not a song or poetry writer unless a fit of inspiration hits me. I tell my brother stories too, but he likes to hear songs more. :)

Yes, he does need to be assured. I am working up a tear-jerking scene for that. *mischeivous grin* I'll take care of him, don't worry.

Yes, Halmir is a sweety pie! I'll be sad when the story ends. But he may come back yet. He's sitting here staring at me begging me to let him come back. He understands too much for one so young, I'm afraid.

Wow! That's a compliment! Budgie is one of the best authors on SOA! :) I wrote these cliffhangers especially for her, so you could recomend the story if you want.
I will update soon! I will be very good to Merry. After all, he is my cousin!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

A lovely song, my dear! I thought it was one of the queen's, but you show great talent yourself, but of course I already knew that! :)

Namarie, God bless, Im mil le, Antane

Author Reply: Oh hannon le! If you seriously thought it was the Queen's...inspiration must hit when I'm tired! LOL! I only get inspired for poetry and songwriting every so often.

Oooooo! Oh, my dear, I lovelovelovelovelovelovelove that lullaby!!!!!! I really do! Especially this bit:

Take you now my hand my hand

Let your mind be free be free

From cares of this world this world

Let the wind take you, take you

And just follow the dream song

To the land of the dreams.

Wow! Sometimes I wish I could write songs like this, not really rhyming but beautiful and haunting. Now you've got a lovely tune running though my head. Probably not the right tune, though.

Oh, poor dear Halmir! All that fear and exhaustion is catching up with him and he just needs to be loved as much as Frodo does. I love Miriel! She's so motherly and sweet.

A beautiful, relaxing chapter, and a beautiful, beautiful song!
God bless,
An admiring Galadriel

Author Reply: *blushing* *you* admiring *me*? I don't even have a tune to this! YOur tune is probably as good as any. It's far better than anything I could ever come up with. I just remembered what you had said yesterday about how you can sing a poem with the same amount of syllables. So I did that. It just kind of came to me while I was typing. I'm glad you thought it was good.

*smiling wryly* Yes, Halmir does need as much love as Frodo does. Do you think I should still go on with...you know? The next thing?

I modeled Miriel after you! They all need a mother figure right now. And when Merry comes back, they will need a residential healer.
Namarie, mellon nin!
Im mil le,
God Bless,
Yours humbly,
Frodo Baggins
