A Streak of Moonlight  by Linda Hoyland 5 Review(s)

Then I woke up and it was all a dream... Much to Faramir's relief. Except for the discovery that Arwen and Eowyn would have enjoyed being on the sidelines, cheering them on and giggling. Being (as they are) far less prudish than their husbands!

Poor Faramir still gets a shock. I wonder how the ladies would react though if they had to run naked round the orchard rather than watching their husbands?

I'm with Gudrun. Far more enjoyable than a mere incantation. Especially watching two naked shivering highly embarrassed men attempt to stand on their heads.

The things they will do for their wives!

I love ARagorn and Faramir's loyalty both to their wives and to each other as Faramir had the chance to keep his clothes on !

I Had almuch as much fun as dream Gudrun writing this !

Haha! It was all a dream! Funny that Faramir should dream about what Aragorn says, now that you mentioned it. As you can see, I reviewed first for chapter one at school during lunchtime. I was almost done reading through chapter two but the bell rang and so I couldn’t finish the rest of it, much less review. Anyways, now that I'm nice and comfy at home (and not worrying about a teacher sneaking up behind me and seeing what I'm doing), I am now taking my time writing this review. Okay, now on with it.

Here is my one piece of advice to you, Linda. NEVER try to eat rich food and think about something weird that someone has said in the past—or else you shall dream of it. MUAHAHAHAHAHA >=P. To tell you the truth, something somewhat similar happened to me before…and I can tell you, it certainly was not pleasant, not pleasant at all. And certainly, Eowyn and Arwen would have come with them because they wouldn't want to miss it for anything—I mean, they get to see their husbands naked, and as you described earlier, “finely toned, lean, muscular male bodies”, so they wouldn’t miss that at all—even if Arwen is nearly three millennium (or is it millennia?) old.

At the end, Faramir dreams of something of a much more pleasant variety…I think I can imagine what he’s dreaming…=)

The End

Nicely done!

I'm all too aware that rich food late at night can cause very strange dreams.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story.

I loved Eowyn's comment about her and Arwen not having missed that spectacle for anything if it had actually occurred.

Are you aware of the 'streaking' fad that occurred about 30 years ago, with (mostly) men running around nude in public places? The title reminded me of that.

Great addition to At The Rising of the Moon - funny and wild! I'm all for seeing more of Faramir and Aragorn, too!

I'm quite sure the ladies wouldn't have wanted to miss seeing what their husbands conceal beneath those voluninious nightshirts they wear in my stories LOL.
Yes, I remember the streaking well and had it in mind.
I promise you should see a great deal more of Aragorn and Faramir, all being well.

How very--wierd--a way to obtain the mistletoe. In the other story "At the Rising of the Moon" thankfully, Aragorn knows the incantation, but it never said anything about stripping themselves, going around the orchard, and especially not balancing on their heads. Dame Gudrun is very perverted indeed, if she enjoys the sight of men's muscles and fine-toned bodies. To tell you the truth, that kinda scared me when you mentioned that point...LOL

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. In "At the Rising of the Moon" Aragorn teases Faramir that they will have to climb trees, run round naked and stand on their heads, the most outrageous thing he could think of.
If you read the next chapter, you will find that Aragorn's joke must have sunk into Faramir's mind and combined with too much rich food, trigged a nightmare.
