Like a Woman  by Salsify 2 Review(s)

Bravo! *gives standing ovation*

Also, people who accuse Éowyn of deserting forget that Tolkien has written a heroic tale, with heroic values, not a handbook for the US Marines. In a heroic tale, the hero (or heroine) follows the calling of his/her heart, and everyone sees that as the natural way of things.

If it wasn't so, would have Boromir go on his quest alone, without a proper escort? He was the Heir to the Stewardship of Gondor, the second most important Man of his country, after all. But heroes go on lonely quests, and so he did, too. The same way of thinking should be applied to Éowyn, too.

Oh, beautiful. "Rules are not made for women, nor women for the rules".
