I love the little para near the end from the trees' POV. :-) So cute, I can just picture the three of them having a fantastic camping trip... Thanks for writing! Author Reply: Thank you! I have many happy memories of camping, and knew that hobbit lads would enjoy it.

I love this! There is indeed magic all around us, everyday. And it is great to get to share it with people we love. Wonderful! Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. *magical hugs*

A lovely, lovely Shirebound story! The magic of the trees - and magic can be found anywhere - and the fun these three have were so wonderful. I love Pip's nervousness over the 'hobbit-snacking goblins'! And Frodo's love for his cousins is perfect. Thanks for this - I meant to review earlier but dratted real life kept getting in the way. Author Reply: Awww, thank you, BB! You know I can never get enough of happy, fun-loving, hobbity... hobbits! :D

Bilbo had opened his eyes to a larger world than he ever imagined. And now he could share it. So that was *your* story? I loved it from the first moment on. It's really beautiful! In particular I liked the bit about the trees. Magic everywhere, indeed :) Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea! I loved writing it. (I do seem to be writing rather a lot about trees these days. :D)

A Shirebound story, indeed. Full of Love and Light. People who grew to be strong, loving, confident adults who faced such challenges as they did had to have had strong foundations, nurtured through loving childhoods. thank you for sharing some of the moments that built them. Author Reply: Oh my, thank you! What a lovely thing to say. Love and Light... *sniff* *hugs you*

I simply love Frodo's imagination--he truly creates a magical world for his little cousins & he is just so good in entertaining & keeping watch over them (along with gently teasing them, as well). Pippin is so very cute! I just want to cuddle him right up (although I suspect I'd have to wait in a very long line to do so)! I also liked how you presented Frodo & Merry's relationship with each other & the importance of Frodo's happiness. It's a very mature realization for Merry to see & understand that his Frodo is much happier living with Bilbo at Bag End then he was in Brandy Hall ... & yet that Frodo still loves him & misses him just as much. 'Merry looked into Frodo’s sparkling, happy face. “You really do like living with Cousin Bilbo, don’t you?” “Very much,” Frodo said softly. “Good,” Merry said, smiling bravely. “I miss you awfully, though,” he whispered in Frodo’s ear. “I miss you awfully, too,” Frodo whispered back.' What I enjoyed the most was how you had Frodo himself realize just how much he enjoys learning all the things Bilbo shows him & that he wants to pass all of that along to Merry & Pippin. Also that through that realization, Frodo comes to understand the deep meaning it has for Bilbo, to be able to have someone to share his wisdom with, finally, who not only will listen, but _wants_ to. Well done! Author Reply: Thank you so much. I do th;ink that Bilbo was ever so grateful to have finally found someone (after so many years alone) to appreciate what he could teach. And how could Frodo not pass along everything to his beloved cousins? :D

The calmer kin to the Old Forest realizes that Hobbits are the right folk to have at hand, and may even do their best to protect them. And glad to see Frodo learning to be happy with Bilbo, and Bilbo finding happiness in teaching Frodo. Author Reply: Thank you, Larner. I have such a weakness for writing (and reading about) the happy and peaceful moments in Frodo's life.

Would you like to know when I was certain this was a Shirebound story? It was just a few words, "his armful of cousins." I had suspected it from the first, because the visual image of little Pippin sitting on Merry was just so immediately heart-warming, and then Frodo scooping him up and growling in his ear. What confirmed this was a Shirebound story was the happy, wistful feeling I had at the end of it, wishing I could be part of their lives. Author Reply: I really did try to 'disguise' myself when I started writing this, but gave up about halfway through. Armfuls, scooping, blankets, happy endings... ah well! *grins* Thank you, Budgie!

Sigh...How I needed a sweet, lovely and fluffy story like that tonight. Magic really is all around us if we know where to look for it. Just a lovely, lovely story shirebound dear. Now...Do you know where I could find my own version of Snips? He sounds delightful!! :o) Author Reply: I'm glad this fluffyness was there for you today, Tigger! *Snips and hobbits hug and snuggle with you*
