| I don't think I've read too many scenes involving just Merry and Aragorn. I suppose Merry might very well be having some second thoughts about his initial reaction. His thoughts seem very much in character; I really enjoyed his point of view. This is really well done. | |

| Very nice use of the fair/foul comments to good purpose. I like your Merry, he comes across a bit more like book!Merry, who was a very fine hobbit. | I like this a lot. I prefer Aragorn's reaction to that comment in the book but this is a lovely resolution to the movie version. | Oh Laire...You shouldn't say this isn't as well written as your other stories. Yes, we all progress as we do any skill, but your talent shines through in this. It's a lovely little gapfiller and answer to one of Shirebound's tempting bunnies. You w/out a doubt got Merry's voice right and, of course, your Aragorn is spot on too.
