| “I’ll never let anything bad happen to Pippin ever again.” Eglantine hugged Merry close and kissed his forehead. “No one can promise that, Merry,” she said quietly. “But I know you will do your best, and I will always trust you with my Pippin.” It is just as well that she didn't let him promise and her trust in him is lovlely and well deserved. | I was a bit surprised to see Merry hiding up a tree, but the story was good and well researched. Author Reply: Well, he had to hide in a place where Pippin would never look! I like to think that he was getting nervous and squirmy as he waited, and that's why Pippin noticed him moving around! :) Thanks for reading! | |
